Youngsters invited to Outdoor Games Day

An Outdoor Games Day for Kids, open to youngsters ages 7-12, will be held 1-3 p.m. Nov. 7 at Bicentennial Park, Hardenburg Lane, East Brunswick. Rain date is Nov. 8.

Nicole Bornkamp, a senior at East Brunswick High School and a senior Girl Scout with Troop No. 894, East Brunswick, is coordinating the event as part of a Gold Award Scout project.

EBHS students have volunteered to teach children a variety of games they can play outdoors with neighborhood friends. The event is designed to encourage youngsters to be more active and healthy.

The day is free of charge. Parents are required to remain during the activities. A nurse will be on site.
