• Pink Heals Tour and Breakfast for Breast Cancer, to raise awareness breast cancer, beginning with the arrival of pink fire trucks at approximately 9 a.m., in Friendly's and A&P parking lot, Route 9 and Ferry Road, Old Bridge. Breast-cancer survivors invited to sign the pink fire trucks. Breakfast set for 8 a.m.-noon at Friendly's. • Old-and-New Treasures Yard Sale, sponsored by the Monroe Township High School PTO, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., in the parking lot at the high school, Perrineville Road. Rain date is Oct. 10. • Casino Night, sponsored by Corpus Christi Church, doors open at 6:30 p.m., event set for 7-11 p.m., in the church hall, Morningside and Kamm avenues, South River. Grand prizes include a 50-inch flatscreen television, 26-inch flat screen, Wii system, Guitar Hero, GPS navigation system, more. Door prizes awarded every hour. • Spaghetti Festival, sponsored by American Legion Post No. 214, 2-6 p.m., at the post home, 264 Whitehead Ave., South River. Spaghetti, homemade meatballs, sausage, salad, bread, coffee, tea, soda, cake. Donation is $10 for adults, $5 for children under age 10. • Benefit Dinner, to aid Mitchell Brown, a young East Brunswick father suffering from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, 6-9:30 p.m., at the Pines Manor, Edison. Hors d'oeuvres, three-course sit-down dinner, entertainment, silent auction. Cost is $50 per person. All proceeds go to the Brown family to help defray medical and personal expenses. Checks should be made payable to Mitchell Brown, with Oct. 7 indicated on the memo line, and sent to P.O. Box 6355, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. A compatible stem-cell donor also must be found.
