Eugene G. Iko

Mr. Iko, 66, of Effort, Pa., formerly of Helmetta and the Parlin section of Sayreville, died June 9, 2009, in Geisinger Hospital West, Wilkes Barre, Pa. Prior to his retirement in 2002, he was a bus driver for Cardinal McCarrick High School, South Amboy. His first wife, Christine Modzelewski Iko, died in 1999. Surviving are his wife, Maryann Pioli Iko; a daughter, JoAnne Iko of Pennsauken; two sisters, Betty Phillips of Nashville, Tenn., and Karen Iko of East Brunswick; two brothers, Joseph Iko of Spotswood and William Iko of East Brunswick; and four grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.
