• Live Art and Sports Memorabilia Auction, sponsored by the Warnsdorfer School PTA, East Brunswick, preview at 7 p.m., event begins at 8 p.m., at the Farrington Manor, 16 Patrick St., off Riva Avenue, East Brunswick. Gourmet hors d'oeuvres, dessert, refreshments served. Cash bar available. Proceeds benefit Warnsdorfer Elementary School. Tickets cost $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Donations accepted. • Adopt-A-Family, sponsored by the South River Elementary/Primary School PTA, to make the holiday season more enjoyable for disadvantaged children in South River. • Easter Babka Sale, sponsored by St. Mary's Altar Rosary Society, South River. Cost is $9.50 and $10 per babka. Available varieties include poppy seed, prune, raisin, cheese, apricot and cheese, raspberry and cheese. Orders, with payment, may be given to any Rosarian in the Seniors Room after all weekend Masses at St. Mary's Church, Jackson Street, South River; left at the church rectory during business hours; or put in an envelope and dropped in the collection basket at the church. • Church Indoor Rummage Sale, sponsored by Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., in the white house next to the church, 568 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. Proceeds go to the church's Crisis Room, which offers food, clothing and financial assistance to needy families in Middlesex County. Parking available in church parking lot. 732-254-7361.

• Comedy Night, sponsored by the Irwin Elementary School PTA, doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner, show begins at 8 p.m., at the Stress Factory, New Brunswick. Headliner is comic Vinnie Brand. • Lenten Fish Dinner, sponsored by St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River, takeouts beginning at 4 p.m., eat-in dinners 5-7 p.m., in the St. Mary's School cafeteria, Jackson Street, South River. • BeCentsAble Workshops, sponsored by Immaculate Conception School, 7 p.m. April 3, 10 a.m. April 4, in the cafeteria at the school, 23 Manalapan Road, Spotswood. Participants, who will learn how to cut their grocery, household and personal-care items budget, receive a ticket for a door prize to win a $50 ShopRite gift certificate. Topics include how to save time and money without clipping and filing coupons; how to use virtual databases to find coupons; how to find and print coupons online; how to properly use coupons, store coupons, incentives; how to shop on a limited budget or with limited time; how to plan a shopping trip to save time and money. Workshops taught by trained BeCentsAble educators. A $25 fee includes Be- CentsAble Shopper membership; 25 percent donated to Immaculate Conception class of 2010. • Garage Sale, sponsored by Spotswood High School Project Graduation, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., rain or shine, at Memorial Middle School, 115 Summerhill Road, Spotswood. Individuals may help support Project Graduation by donating a percentage of their sales from the event, donating some or all of their items, or by renting a table to sell merchandise. U.S. troops will be helped by donations of personal hygiene items (shaving cream, razors, soap bars, toothpaste, brushes, etc.), nonperishable snacks, dry goods, canned goods, gum, mints, candy, notepads, pens, pencils, stamps, envelopes. • Clothing Drive, sponsored by Bowne-Munro PTA, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at the school, 120 Main St., East Brunswick. Items sought include clothes, shoes, handbags, belts, sheets, towels, stuffed animals, etc. Place donations in tightly tied plastic bags. • Breakfast With the Bunnies, sponsored by Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County 4-H Junior Council, 10 a.m. for ages 2-5, 10:30 a.m. for ages 6-8, at the Middlesex County 4-H Center, 645 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Children should bring their own baskets. Fee is $8 per person for pancake breakfast, egg hunt, petting zoo, face painting, games, other activities; photos with bunnies available for additional $1. • Organic (Chemical-Free) Fertilizer and Home-Cleaning Product Sale, sponsored by the Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership, 10 a.m.-noon, at the group's headquarters building, 85 Washington Ave., Milltown. The nonprofit panel encourages area residents to avoid use of toxic lawn and garden products and homecleaning liquids. Data shows that stormwater runoff, contaminated by chemical lawn fertilizers and pesticides, is a significant contributor to the degradation of the quality of the drinking water supply. Proceeds from the sale are dedicated to the costs of the partnership's nature walks, bike rides, educational programs, mailings, printing and town cleanups. April 5

• Ralph Lamo Memorial Daisy Breakfast, to benefit individuals with special needs who participate in the Daisy Recreation Program, sponsored by the East Brunswick Division of Recreation and Community Services and The Daisy Association, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., at the East Brunswick Hilton, Route 18, East Brunswick. DJ offering music, games, limited children's activities; tricky tray featuring prizes donated by local merchants; 50/50 raffles. Breakfast menu includes eggs, bacon, home fries, pancakes, doughnuts, rolls, juice, coffee, tea, milk. Volunteers plan, prepare, serve breakfast and clean up after the event. Tickets, which cost $10 for adults and $2 for children under age 10, are available at the East Brunswick Recreation Office, Dunhams Corner Road; the township clerk's office in the East Brunswick Municipal Building, Jean Walling Civic Center; or at the door. Parking at the Hilton is free of charge. Daisy program is designed to promote the concept of education through recreation for the developmentally challenged. 732-390-6797.

• Pedals for Progress Bicycle Collection, sponsored by the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, 1-4 p.m., at the church, 211 Millstone Road, Perrineville section of Millstone. Pedals for Progress donates used bicycles to developing countries throughout the world where there is no other means of transportation.
