September computer classes on tap at library

Computer training classes will be held at the newly renovated training center at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. Classes are two hours in length. Registration is now going on.

The class schedule is as follows:

"Introduction to Microsoft Word" — 9:30 a.m., Sept. 6;

"Internet 1" — 10 a.m., Sept. 9;

"E-Mail Basics: Part 1" — 10 a.m., Sept. 10;

"Internet 2" — 10 a.m., Sept. 16;

"Microsoft Excel Basics" — 9:30 a.m., Sept. 20;

"PC Literacy" — 10 a.m., Sept. 24;

"Introduction to Microsoft Power- Point" — 7 p.m., Sept. 25.

Basic computer classes are offered on a regular monthly schedule, posted by the 15th of the prior month. Specialized training classes are offered intermittently throughout the year. The most up-to-date class schedules are available on the library calendar.

Registration is required for all classes. Sessions are free of charge to library cardholders, $10 for noncardholders, payable at the time of registration. A cancellation policy is strictly enforced and requires registrants who cannot attend to call the information desk at 732-390-6767 or to cancel online at least 24 hours prior to a class. Cardholders who fail to follow the cancellation procedure will have a $5 fee charged to their library account; noncardholders will forfeit their $10 registration fee.
