Health fair to feature free medical screenings

Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge and Perth Amboy divisions, and the Filipino- American Association will sponsor a free health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 6 at St. Ambrose Church, Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge. Free health screenings will include body-fat analysis, lung-capacity testing, blood typing, blood-sugar testing, blood-pressure testing, stroke-risk assessment and eye screening; posture, musclestrength and hand-grip testing; and dental screenings for children and adults. Also featured will be a CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) demonstration. Education and information will be provided on topics such as nutrition and meal planning, cancer, diabetes, HIV, urinary incontinence, celiac disease, fitness and wellness, bowel and bladder disorders, acupuncture and pelvic pain.
