Family entertainment scheduled at library

The East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center, will offer a variety of upcoming weekend programs and special events for the entire family.

The schedule is as follows:

July 11 - Spook Handy: Family Entertainment, 7 p.m., music, singalongs and stories;

July 12 - Andy Rothstein Quintet, 7:30 p.m., instrumental jazz-fusion;

July 13 - Old-Fashioned Ice- Cream Social, 2 p.m., old-fashioned games and contests, a "Parlor Song Sing-Along," entertainment including the barbershop quartet Escape, ice cream;

July 19 - The Lizard Guys, 7:30 p.m., featuring snakes, turtles, frogs, bugs, lizards and jokes for families with children ages 5 and up;

July 25 - Matty Dice and Mark Bottoni: Jazz, 7 p.m., Dice will play trumpet and offer Tony Bennett-style vocals, Mark Bottoni will accompany on piano;

Aug. 2 - Eco del Sur, 7 p.m., performing music from the Andes and several Latin American regions with authentic instruments and costuming, open to all ages;

Aug. 9 - Buddy Fitzpatrick, comedian, 7 p.m.;

Aug. 16 - Presley and Melody: Family Concert, 7 p.m., audience participation, for families with children of all ages;

Aug. 23 - Banjo Rascals, 7 p.m., performing ragtime to swing, Dixieland and rock.
