May 16

• Tricky Tray, sponsored by the Little House Association of South River, doors open at 6:15 p.m., event begins at 8 p.m., at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1451, 31 Reid St., South River. May 16, 17 & 18

• Greek Festival, 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on May 16, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on May 17, noon to 8 p.m. on May 18, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1101 River Road, Piscataway. Greek food; live music by the Golden Greeks Orchestra; traditional folk dancing by the church's four dance groups; gift shop; church tours and cultural information. Taverna Night, May 17, included with regular festival admission - DJ, outdoor bar, souvlaki and gyro stands open until 1 a.m. Donation: $2 per person, free of charge until 4 p.m. on May 16; free of charge for children under age 12. Free parking and shuttle service at the church and at Rutgers Stadium, Piscataway. Proceeds assist the church in its cultural and community programming. • Giant Yard Sale, sponsored by the Monroe Township High School PTO, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the parking lot at the high school, Perrineville Road. Rental fees help support the PTO Scholarship Fund. • Jamesburg Spring Townwide Yard Sale, sponsored by the borough of Jamesburg and the Jamesburg Historical Association (JHA), 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. Jamesburg residents sell in their own yards or rent table space in the parking lot at Jamesburg Presbyterian Church, East Church Street and Gatzmer Avenue. Nonresidents may rent space at the church; cost is $10 per space. Registered home addresses listed on a yard-sale flier/map. Residents may register by e-mailing jhayardsale@ aol.com or by calling (732) 521- 2040 and leaving their name, telephone number. Residents and nonresidents who wish to rent table space (no tables and chairs provided) may download the form at www.jamesburg.net or call (732) 521-2040. A check made payable to the JHA must accompany the returned rental forms. Payment must be received by May 16. Payment and rental requests will not be accepted on sale day. Rental fees benefit programs at Jamesburg Presbyterian Church.

• Flea Market, sponsored by East Brunswick Elks Lodge No. 2370, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, at the lodge, Oakmont Avenue and Hardenburg Lane. Bagels and coffee available in the morning; hot dogs, hamburgers, fries offered at lunchtime. Soda and bottled water also available for purchase. • Organic Fertilizer and Home- Cleaning Product Sale, featuring chemical-free products, sponsored by the Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership, 10 a.m. to noon, at the group's headquarters building, 85 Washington Ave., Milltown. The nonprofit partnership, dedicated to the protection of the Lawrence Brook Watershed, encourages area residents to avoid the use of toxic lawn and garden products and cleaning liquids. • Used-Clothing Collection, sponsored by The Presbyterian Church of Jamesburg, 2-4 p.m., at the church, 175 Gatzmer Ave., comer of West Church and Gatzmer. Participants should use the new Gatzmer Avenue entrance. Items sought include wearable and usable men's, women's and children's clothing; shoes, belts and handbags; linens; stuffed animals; hard toys. May 18

• Cut-a-thon for Christopher, to support the 3-year-old Spotswood resident's fight against cancer, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Dramatically Different Salon, 491 Manalapan Road, Pelican Plaza, Spotswood. Women's haircuts cost $20, men and children (girls under 12), $10. All proceeds go to Christopher's treatment.

• Car Wash, sponsored by East Brunswick Boy Scout Shawn O'Grady, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, 114 Old Stage Road, East Brunswick. Event will raise funds for Shawn's Eagle Scout project at the church. Cost is $5 for cars, $6 for vans and trucks.

May 19

• Dining-To-Donate, sponsored by the East Brunswick High School Drama Club, noon to closing, at Applebee's, Ryders Crossing Shopping Center, Milltown Road and Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. Diners should present a Dining to-Donate flier. Applebee's will donate 10 percent of supporters' bills to the drama club. Flier must be presented for donation to count.
