Student performers deserve courtesy, respect
      Once again, as a proud grandparent, and as a former Board of Education member, I attended another delightful East Brunswick Public Schools orchestra concert in the high school auditorium. The district is most fortunate to have an excellent new supervisor of arts education, Jeffrey Lesser.

Why stop at just Middlesex County?
      With reference to Taj Ahmad's letter to the editor ("Take the 'Sex' Out of Middlesex County' ") that appeared in the May 8 issue of the Sentinel, I agree completely. May I suggest that the elimination of "sex" from county names be made statewide.

Students must repay lunch IOU but have no say in selection
      My daughter came home from school today with some interesting news. She forgot her lunch money, and apparently under the East Brunswick school district's new money saving/IOU-discouraging policy, students are only allowed to receive a cheese sandwich for lunch if they forget their lunch money.
