March 27

• Live Art and Sports Memorabilia Auction, sponsored by the Warnsdorfer School PTA, East Brunswick, preview 7-8 p.m., auction 8-10 p.m., at Farrington Manor, 16 Patrick St., off Riva Avenue, East Brunswick. More than 160 works of art; selection of sports memorabilia. Admission is $20 per person. Gourmet hors d'oeuvres, dessert, refreshments served. Proceeds benefit the school. Donations being accepted. • Tricky Tray Basket Auction, sponsored by the Irwin School PTA, East Brunswick, doors open at 6 p.m., event begins at 7:30 p.m., in the cafeteria at Churchill Junior High School, Norton Road, East Brunswick. Prizes include: 42-inch plasma television; Nintendo Wii system; Park Hopper Passes to Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla.; children's bicycles; more. Admission is $7 in advance, $10 at the door; complimentary coffee, doughnuts.

• Adult Tricky Tray, sponsored by Our Lady of Victories Church, doors open at 5:30 p.m., event begins at 7:30 p.m., in the church's Monsignor Dalton Hall, Main Street, Sayreville. Open to individuals age 18 and above. Admission is $15; includes two free Level No. 1 sheets, coffee, tea, dessert. Advance-sale value package costs $20; includes five Level No. 1 sheets, three Level No. 2 sheets, two "Super Prize" tickets. Price schedule: Level No. 1 - two sheets for $5 or five sheets for $10; Level No. 2 - one sheet for $5 or three sheets for $10; "Super- Prize" Level - one ticket, $5, or five tickets, $20; 50/50 - three tickets for $5, 10 tickets for $10. • Organic Fertilizer and Home- Cleaning Product Sale, featuring chemical-free products, sponsored by the Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership, 9 a.m. to noon, at the group's headquarters building, 85 Washington Ave., Milltown. The nonprofit partnership, dedicated to the protection of the Lawrence Brook Watershed, encourages area residents to avoid the use of toxic lawn and garden products and cleaning liquids. • Bargain Book and Media Sale, sponsored by the East Brunswick Friends of the Library, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on March 31, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. April 1-5, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 6, at the J.C. Penney court at Brunswick Square Mall, Route 18, East Brunswick. Thousands of gently used hardcover and paperback books, audiobooks, video games, computer software, collectors items, DVDs, CDs, all at discounted prices. Cash and checks accepted; no credit cards. The East Brunswick Library Puppeteers will offer free puppet shows for youngsters at 7 and 7:30 p.m. on April 2 and 3. April 3, 10 & 16

• Clothing Drive Collection, sponsored by the Middlesex County 4- H Association, 7-9 p.m. on April 3 and 10, 7:30-9:30 p.m. on April 16, at the 4- H Center, 645 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Used clothes, shoes, handbags, stuffed animals and linens should be packed in sturdy plastic trash bags. Donations also may be brought to the Middlesex County Extension office, the EARTH Center, 42 Riva Ave., South Brunswick, during regular office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds go toward 4-H programming, scholarship awards.
