James P. McCarty Mr. McCarty, 84, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 12, 2008, in JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Constance McCarty. Surviving are his wife, Ann Ryan Mellilo McCarty; two sons, James P. Mc- Carty of Lyndhurst and Christopher McCarty of Edison; two daughters, Lorena Verdesco of Old Bridge and Michelle La Canna of Warren; two stepchildren, Jeanne Leary of Morris Plains andMichael J.Mellilo of the Colonia section of Woodbridge; a brother, Joseph McCarty of Locust Grove, Va.; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was private.
