LettersMarch 20, 2008

Democrats' experience has had no positive effect on twp.
This letter is in regard to the statements by Donald Klemp and Nancy Pinkin in the March 13 issue of the Sentinel about running for re-election with Mayor Bill Neary ("Klemp, Pinkin Will Seek New Terms With Neary").

Klemp said it is "the Democratic way." That is one of our problems - too many Democrats who want their own way.

The fact that they have had several years of experience doesn't mean a thing. If they are so great in leading the township, then why is there no place to go except farther down?

Heavenly Farms property was bought for "open space." How can you have open space if you plan on putting buildings on it? Guess who is paying for that? Add that to the Toll Brothers fiasco.

Often at Township Council meetings, I see Mayor Neary sitting, hands clasped, and his face is beet red. I'd like to think the reason his face is beet red is because he is embarrassed to be sitting there. If he isn't, he should be, but people with no moral compass do not think they are doing anything wrong. All I ever see him doing is sitting. I imagine he does a lot of sitting at his job with the county, too.

I wish I could think of even one good thingMayor Neary has done for our township. Sorry. Can't think of a thing.
