Has suggestion for Golden Triangle situation in E.B.
Ihave just read the article "Toll Brothers divulges redevelopment details" in the Dec. 27 edition of the Sentinel, regarding the possibility of changing the time frame and not building residential condos at the Golden Triangle.

I have been a resident of East Brunswick for 11 years, and do not know any of the specific details between East Brunswick and Toll Brothers, but enough is enough.

The only person on the East Brunswick Township Council who seems to think the whole thing can fall apart, leaving East Brunswick holding the bag, is David Stahl. With Toll Brothers and the mayor, it seems that there is a lot of backroom negotiating going on and leaving everybody else in the dark, and David Stahl wants everybody in East Brunswick to know that something is not right. That is a councilman who is actually looking out for the residents by speaking out, and he should be commended.

My point is that since money has changed hands between Toll Brothers and East Brunswick, wasn't there some sort of contract signed for terms and conditions for the Golden Triangle project. If that is the case, what gives Toll Brothers the right to change the terms and timeframe to suit them, not East Brunswick.

I was brought up that, if you agreed to something, you do what you say you will do.

Here is an idea: Since the project is not going to be on time, why can't somebody figure out the total tax receipts East Brunswick would get from the real estate taxes and from the retail stores if the project was built on time, and charge Toll Brothers the loss of tax revenue until the project is on track.
