Scout's project aimed at saving lives
Iam with Boy Scout Troop 33, Milltown, and I am working on my Eagle Scout project. For my project I am conducting a blood drive and working to raise awareness of organ donation. This will all take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 22 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 233 N. Main St., Milltown. For an appointment, you may call me at (732) 253-7992 or sign up online at www.pleasegiveblood. org/donate, and enter sponsor code 5V98.

At this time blood supplies are at a critically low level. By holding the blood drive I hope to get many people to donate blood and help save lives. Then by spreading the word about organ donation we can help save other lives, even yours.

An organ-donor card filled out and placed in your wallet will tell others what organs you wish to donate. Another way to be able to donate your organs is to be sure your friends and family are wellinformed about your wishes.

Thank you for your help.
