Moth Night 2007
 | | Above, attendees of Moth Night 2007 check out some insects on a lighted sheet at the East Brunswick Butterfly Park Aug. 28. The Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission sponsored the event, bringing lights specially designed to attract moths, and "sugar-baiting" trees with a fermented mixture of beer, rum, banana, brown sugar and molasses, honey or syrup. Left, despite its camouflage, this blacklettered dart moth was one of the night's best finds, according to Environmental Commission member Rich Wolfert. The sweet solution painted on trees by organizers is seen around the moth. |
