The Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership (LBWP) will host a 1 1/2- to 2-Mile Figure-8 Nature Walk from noon to 2 p.m. on Aug. 26 at Thompson Park, Monroe.

Brian Racin, LBWP member and chairman of the South River Environmental and Shade Tree Commission, will lead the walk on park trails. Participants should bring water and insect repellent and wear long pants and shirts and strong shoes or boots.

Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for members and children.

Participants should take Perrineville Road south from the CVS store approximately 1 1?4 miles to Schoolhouse Road, turn left and go one-quarter mile onto the sandy road, then bear right at the fork. Parking will be in the large grass field.
