Frank A. "Bunkey" Czarnecki
Mr. Czarnecki, 76, of North Brunswick, died July 30, 2007, at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in South River, he resided in Jamesburg prior to relocating to North Brunswick 25 years ago. Mr. Czarnecki was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, South River, for more than 20 years, retiring in 1981. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1954, and earned the rank of staff sergeant. He was a past commander of American Legion Post No. 214, South River, and past commander, past judge advocate, and past commander of the Past Commanders Club, Middlesex County. He was a member of the North Brunswick Senior Citizens. Mr. Czarnecki was predeceased by four sisters, Sophie Haaz, Lola Wein, Hedwig Plata and Stacia De Rosa; and three brothers, John, Anthony and Leo Czarnecki. He is survived by a brother, Joseph Czarnecki; a sister, Irene Timko; his companion of 32 years, Angeline T. Connelly; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia Perez, Joann and Bob Buchin, and Kathleen and Tom Herkert; a son, Richard Connelly; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held Aug. 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A funeral service will be Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at St. James Cemetery, Jamesburg.
Charlotte Mary LeBeau
Mrs. LeBeau, 76, of East Brunswick, died July 22, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Walter LeBeau; two sons, Walter LeBeau of Kissimmee, Fla., and Timothy LeBeau, and his wife, Elizabeth, of East Brunswick; a daughter, Karen Cox, and her husband, Carl, of the Browns Mills section of Pemberton; a sister, Doris Lepski of Piscataway; a grandson; four great-grandchildren; and four nephews and one niece. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
Mary F. Wisz Rusin
Mrs. Rusin, 83, of Sayreville, formerly of South River, died July 5, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her marriage, she was employed as a seamstress in South River. Surviving are her husband, Frank Rusin; four daughters, MaryAnn Gazal, and her husband, Thomas, of Morristown, Joan Cavalchire, and her husband, John, of Middletown, Ruth Rusin, and her companion, Greg Bardarik, of Pottstown, Pa., and Grace Pross and her husband, Charles, of Sussex; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka School PTA, Sayreville.
Joseph John Fryzowicz
Mr. Fryzowicz, 65, of the Dayton section of South Brunswick, died July 21, 2007, at Saint Peter's University Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Old Bridge prior to relocating to Dayton 35 years ago. He was a maintenance supervisor at the NJ Turnpike Authority for 44 years, retiring in 2002. He served with the U.S. navy from 1963-67, and with the Navy Seabees MCB7 in Viet Nam in 1966. He enjoyed carpentry, and was an avid fan of the New York Jets and Mets. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth Herrmann Fryzowicz; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Daniel Goldman and Greg Goldman, both of Dayton, and Wayne and Patricia Goldman of Hamilton; a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Christopher DiStefano of East Brunswick; a brother and sister-in-law, Travis and Grace Fryzowicz of Spotswood; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. A funeral liturgy was held at Spotswood Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Foundation, 254 Easton Ave., New Brunswick 08901.
Anita Raker Mozgai
Mrs. Mozgai, 57, of North Brunswick, died July 26, 2007, at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Shamokin, Pa., she resided in North Brunswick, and Kitty Hawk, N.C., prior to relocating to New Hope, Pa., 1 1/2 years ago. She was a registered nurse and vice president of nursing at Carrier Clinic, Belle Mead, retiring in 1995. She was listed din "Who's Who in American Nursing," and belong to several nursing associations. She was a volunteer at Hot Line, Kitty Hawk, N.C., and The Full Circle Thrift Store, New Briton, Pa., both which benefited abused women. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Raker. She is survived by her husband, Frank Mozgai; a son and daughter-in-law, Francis and Stefanie Mozgai of Hamilton Township; her stepmother, Peggy Raker of East Brunswick; four sisters, Judith Lankey of Milltown, Debra Chlan of Gap, Pa., Justine Anderson of Hamilton Township, and Amy Baldesweiller of East Brunswick; a stepbrother, Ricky Semon of Pennington; a stepsister, Sherry Koken of Basking Ridge; a half-brother; a half-sister; and two granddaughters. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, North Brunswick. Interment was at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. John G. Kwiatkowski
Mr. Kwiatkowski, 98, of South River, formerly of Helmetta, died July 25, 2007. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a tool and die maker with George W. Helme Co., Helmetta. His wife, Anna Wasilewski Kwiatkowski, died in 2000. Surviving are a son, William Kwiatkowski, and his wife, Virginia, of North Brunswick; four grandchildren, Donna Kwiatkowski-Belt, David Kwiatkowski, Annmarie Zoufaly and William Kwiatkowski Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Isabelle Liteplo
Mrs. Liteplo, 87, of East Brunswick, died July 24, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an aide with the East Brunswick school system. She taught stained-glass making, doll making and quilting in North Brunswick and East Brunswick. Her husband, Joseph Liteplo, died in 1963. Surviving are two sons, Robert Liteplo and Ronald Liteplo, both of East Brunswick; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Beverly National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arne K. Swensen
Mr. Swensen, 41, of Milltown, formerly of North Brunswick, died July 18, 2007, at home. Surviving are his parents, Muriel and Arne Swensen of North Brunswick; a brother, Michael Swensen, also of North Brunswick; and his maternal grandparents, Irene and Emmet Lounsbury of Virginia. Cremation was private. A gathering of friends and relatives took place at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A service was held at the funeral home.
Dennis C. O'Toole
Mr. O'Toole, 49, of East Brunswick, died July 23, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His father, Gerald, died in 2004. Surviving are his wife, Denise Niglio O'Toole; a son, Vincent, at home; his mother, Rita Erne O'Toole of Belmar; three brothers, James O'Toole of Darian, Ill., and Patrick O'Toole and Richard O'Toole, both of Belmar; three sisters, Marianne Golightly of Belmar, and Eileen Fontanella and Claire Anello, both of Wall; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
