Cut-a-thon to benefit Couture for Cancer

Hair Together, 3107 Bordentown Ave., Parlin section of Sayreville, will host an Inspire Change Cut-a-Thon from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 13.

Inspire Change is the partnership Redken Fifth Avenue has formed with Couture for Cancer, a nonprofit organization that donates custom-made, nonsurgical, human-hair-replacement systems, free of charge to cancer patients worldwide.

Cost is $20 for a wet cut, $15 for men, $12 for children, $10 for a manicure. The event will feature raffles, giveaways, face-painting, refreshments and food. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. All tips will be donated. Cash or checks should be made out to Couture for Cancer. Credit cards will not be accepted.

All funds raised by Hair Together for Inspire Change will be given directly to fund the production of a minimum of 1,000 hair systems, a retail cost of $3,500, for approved recipients.

For more information on the cut-a-thon or to make an appointment, call (732) 727-1011.
