Car washes, bake sales to aid Cadette troop Monroe Girl Scout Cadette Troop No. 1036 will hold car washes and bake sales from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 12 and Sept. 8 at the Monroe Township Recreation Center, 120 Monmouth Road. All donations will be accepted. The sales will raise money for all Cadette events, including an upcoming trip to Canada. The Girl Scouts, who sponsor many activities for girls, also plan and fund many services for the community.
