Air Force Staff Sgt. Courtney L. Bowden, daughter of Donna R. and Allen C. Reynolds of East Brunswick, has deployed overseas to a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mission objectives focus on force protection, peacekeeping, stabilization, security and counter-insurgency operations. Bowden is a security-forces craftsman normally assigned to the 305th Security Forces Squadron, McGuire Air Force Base, Trenton. The sergeant, who has served in the military for more than eight years, is a 1997 graduate of Woodbridge High School.

Air Force Staff Sgt. Christopher D. Bowden, whose wife, Courtney, is the daughter of Donna R. and Allen C. Reynolds of East Brunswick, has deployed overseas to a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mission objectives focus on force protection, peacekeeping, stabilization, security and counter-insurgency operations. Bowden is a security-forces leader normally assigned to the 305th Security Forces Squadron, McGuire Air Force Base, Trenton. The sergeant, who has more than eight years of military service, is the son of Pamela M. and David G. Bowden of Norfolk, Va.

Air Force Airman Luis A. Santos Barco, stepson of Frederick Hague of Helmetta, recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and military customs and courtesies; performed in drill and ceremony marches; received training in rifle marksmanship and human relations; and participated in field-training exercises. Barco is a 2006 graduate of Spotswood High School.
