Thanks go out to many for success of fundraiser

I would like to thank everyone for coming to my third annual Alex's Lemonade Stand on June 9. I found out there were more than 1,500 stands across the country this year. I'm glad everyone loved my lemon slushies, too.

Rob Bogash, owner of the Coffee Beanery in Jersey City, provided the cool slushie cups and got me the slushie mix. James Rand, an instructor at Middlesex County Vocational and Technical High School, Perth Amboy, also helped with the slushies. Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in East Brunswick lent me the tables. Thanks so much to all of you.

And thank you to my parents and to my friends, Shreeda Segan, Sachi Segan, Timmy Gudzak, Ashley Faulcon and Kim Mueller, for helping me at the stand. Together we raised $500 to fight pediatric cancer "one cup at a time."

See you next year.
