Zerbini circus makes return to Jamesburg JAMESBURG - The Alain Zerbini Circus will make its fifth annual appearance in the borough June 29 on the grounds of John F. Kennedy School, Front Street and Davison Avenue. Two shows, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., will be presented by the now-third-generation family circus, based in Sarasota, Fla. Pony and camel rides and a bounce house will be available before the show and during intermission. This year's performances are sponsored by E.P. Henry Co. and Gray Rock Building Supply Co., and presented by the Jamesburg Civic Association. Circus tickets are $10. Children age 3 and under do not require a ticket. Advance tickets are on sale at Sweet William & Thyme, 27 E. Railroad Ave.: Barbara's Antiques, 35 E. Railroad Ave.; Auto King Parts, 67 E. Railroad Ave.; Soden Insurance Agency, 60 W. Railroad Ave.; and Gray Rock Supply Co., 64 W. Railroad Ave. Tickets are also available by mail order, and order forms can be found online at www.jamesburg.net. Mail orders must be received by June 24. The sponsorship of this year's circus will provide additional funds for the Jamesburg Civic Association's community projects. Previous year's projects included grants to the Deacons' Food Pantry, the Jamesburg Public Library and the purchase of American flag sets for display along East and West Railroad avenues. Twenty flags are currently on display, and the organization intends to purchase additional flags this year. The civic association annually funds three scholarships presented to graduating Jamesburg seniors at Monroe Township High School and two citizenship awards presented to graduating eighth-graders at the Grace M. Breckwedel School. Anyone with an interest in promoting good works in the Jamesburg community is asked to consider joining the Jamesburg Civic Association. The group meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at Lisco's Country Café, 49 E.
