Nature walk next up for environmental panel

The Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership (LBWP) will offer a nature walk from 2-4 p.m. on March 18 at Rutgers Gardens, Cook College campus of Rutgers University, New Brunswick.

Herve Barrier, a biologist and LBWP member, will guide the 2- to 3-mile walk through the gardens and areas near Westons Mill Pond, to view trees, birds, animals and nature. Participants will meet at the Log Cabin parking area by entering from Ryders Lane, turning left at the first junction, then following right to the lot.

Walkers should cover their arms and legs, wear strong shoes or boots and carry water.

Cost (to cover insurance) is $5 for the general public, $3 for panel members and children.

For more information, call Alan Godber at (732) 846-4476 or the panel headquarters at (732) 249-5297, or e-mail contact@lbwp.org.

The Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership is a nonprofit organization serving the environmental interests of East Brunswick, Milltown, South Brunswick, North Brunswick and New Brunswick.
