John G. Droppa

Mr. Droppa, 44, of Freehold Township, died Feb. 7, 2007, at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack. Born in Irvington, he had lived in Sayreville and Matawan before moving to Freehold Township in 1999. He was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 18 years in its Summit and Monroe locations. Mr. Droppa was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. He was also a member of the Marlboro MVP Over 30 Men's Softball League. He was predeceased by his mother, Jean Sciuk Droppa, and a brother, Michael. Surviving are his wife of 14 years, Wendy Droppa; two daughters, Christina and Nicole Droppa, both at home; his father, Emil Droppa of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Robert Droppa, also of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Jeanne Flanders of Moore, Okla., and Lorraine Eger of Rahway; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.
