Lindsay Thackara, daughter of Cindi and Wes Thackara of Spotswood, was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Penn State Berks, Reading, Pa., where she is a freshman majoring in American studies. She is a 2006 graduate of Spotswood High School.

Tracy Seckler, daughter of Ellen and Edward Seckler of East Brunswick was named to the dean's list of James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., for the fall semester 2006. Tracy is a junior majoring in health science and is pursuing a career in physical therapy. She is a 2004 graduate of East Brunswick High School.

Lee O. Alvarez, son of Lynn and Oscar Alvarez of East Brunswick, recently received a master of public administration degree in health policy and management from New York University Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, New York City. He is working as a consultant with Nexera Consulting, Greater New York Hospital Association, New York City.

Louis Arnese of East Brunswick was named to the dean's list for the 2005-06 school year at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Ala., where he is in his second year of studies. A 1991 graduate of East Brunswick High School, he is a 1995 graduate of Cook College of Rutgers University, New Brunswick.

Jeffrey D. Smith of Spotswood was named to the dean's list for the fall 2005 and spring 2006 semesters at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, where he is a sophomore majoring in music education.

Lori Kaufman, East Brunswick, has been inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta, National Communications Honor Society at Monmouth University, West Long Branch. A senior majoring in communication, she is the daughter of Diane and Allan Kaufman.
