Genevieve Toth

Mrs. Toth, 78, of Gaithersburg, Md., formerly of Milltown, died Jan. 7, 2007, in Casey House, Rockville, Md. Her husband, Stephen E. Toth, died in 1987, and a son, Stephen M. Toth, died in 1977. Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Moldawer and Judy Laratta, both of Gaithersburg; two sisters, Helen Dominiecki and Joanne Lepucki, both of South River; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Entombment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.

Gladys Foster

Mrs. Foster, 87, of Spotswood, died Jan. 15, 2007, in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, Richard Foster, died in 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Komoniesky, and her husband, Steve, of Spotswood; two sisters, Irene Brenon of Keyport and Helen Sawruk of Rochelle Park; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 18 at St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Frank P. Chojnacki

Mr. Chojnacki, 78, of Spotswood, died Jan. 21, 2007, in Good Samaritan Medical Center, Pottsville, Pa. Surviving are his wife, Dolores "Doris" Pyanowski Chojnacki; two daughters, Rosemarie Chojnacki of Robbinsville and Bernadette Rosenberger, and her husband, Joseph, of Auburn, Pa.; a sister, Jean Sykulski of Spotswood; and four grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on Jan. 25 at Holy Trinity Church, Helmetta. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Church, 100 Main St., Helmetta, NJ 08828.

Catherine Koenig Skwiat

Mrs. Skwiat, 71, of South River, died Jan. 12, 2007, in Madison Care Center, Old Bridge. Surviving are her husband, Arthur Skwiat; a daughter, Susan Kolomyetz, and her husband, Alex, of South River; a brother, William Koenig of South River; a sister, Beatrice Bianco of Pennsylvania; and a granddaughter. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Concetta Vignera Sorrentino

Mrs. Sorrentino, 87, of East Brunswick, died Jan. 9, 2007, in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, Charles Sorrentino, died in 1987, and a daughter, Lucille Randall, died in 1990. Surviving are a daughter, Maria Savino of East Brunswick; two sons, Vincent Sorrentino and Richard Sorrentino, both of East Brunswick; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.

Catherine M. Lakatos

Mrs. Lakatos, 85, of North Brunswick, died Jan. 19, 2007, at Willow Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center, Somerset. Born in Port Chester, N.Y., she resided in Milltown and North Brunswick most of her life. Mrs. Lakatos was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3117, Edison, and the North Brunswick PTA. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank E. Lakatos, in 2003. She is survived by a daughter, Joan Bedell of North Brunswick; a son, Frank R. Lakatos; a sister, Violet Cusumano of Toms River; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131.

William E. Swirk

Mr. Swirk, 83, of North Brunswick, died Jan. 12, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Shenandoah, Pa., he resided in Sayreville for more than 40 years, prior to relocating to North Brunswick three years ago. He was a teamster at Johanna Farms, Flemington, for 45 years, retiring 18 years ago. Prior to that, he was employed at Puritan Dairy, Perth Amboy. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, North Brunswick. He was a member of the Sayreville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4699, and South River American Legion Post No. 214; and life member of the South River Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen B. Trzaska Swirk in 2002; two brothers, Francis and Joseph Swirk; and two sisters, Bernadette Porsi and Evelyn Haouck. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Joseph Paparatto of North Brunswick; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick. Arrangements were by Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River.

Annye Singletary

Mrs. Singletary, 68, of East Brunswick, died Jan. 7, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 2001, she was employed for 32 years with the East Brunswick Board of Education. Surviving are three children, Metoka of Los Angeles, Marcus of Philadelphia, and Dennis, and his wife, Tatjana, of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; two sisters, Tabitha Powell of Philadelphia and Nettye Jones of New Bern, N.C.; and a nephew. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to any chapter of the American Diabetes Association.

German A. Vaca

Mr. Vaca, 67, of Monroe, died Jan. 10, 2007, in the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Philadelphia. Surviving are his wife, Norma Pahimulin Vaca; two daughters, Corazon P. Robinson of the Somerset section of Franklin and Kathrina Vaca, at home; a brother, Antonio Vaca of Quezon City, the Philippines; a sister, Cecilia Raymundo of Pasig, the Philippines; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in the Philippines.

Constance Jordan

Mrs. Jordan, of the Morganville section of Marlboro, died Jan. 15, 2007, at home. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she had lived there for most of her life before moving to Morganville in 1985. Prior to retiring 25 years ago, she worked as an adjuster for the Talbot-Byrd insurance company, New York City, for more than 40 years. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro. Mrs. Jordan was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Louis Jordan, in 2006, and a brother, Anthony Cerreto. Surviving are a sister, Celia DeLuca of Morganville; and three nieces, JoAnn Perrini of Monroe, Elaine Harrison of Stamford, Conn., and RoseAnn Gillie of South Carolina. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, Marlboro, followed by entombment at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, also Marlboro. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Peter P. Santalucia

Mr. Santalucia, 80, of North Brunswick, died Jan. 14, 2007, at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided there prior to moving to North Brunswick 53 years ago. He was an inventory clerk at Bristol-Myers Squibb, North Brunswick, for 22 years, retiring in 1986. Prior to that, he was employed at Kenler Pocketbook Company, New Brunswick. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick, for 60 years. He was a member of American Legion Joyce Kilmer Post No. 25, Milltown; the North Brunswick Democratic Club; and Bristol-Myers Squibb Retirees Club. He is survived by his wife, Rose Presutto Santalucia; three sons, Peter J. and Joseph, both of North Brunswick, and John of Perth Amboy; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Jeffrey Slater of Hamilton; and a brother, Martin Santalucia of Sayreville. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Church. Burial was at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
