They are: (girls division) 8-9, Kelly Joyce; 10-11, Lena Buccigrossi; and 12-13, Kathleen Joyce; (boys division) 8-9, Michael Acevedo; 10-11, Dylan Mullin; and 12-13, Dominick Pizzano.

The Monroe U12 Lady Falcons opened play in the North Brunswick League with a 39-25 loss to St. Bart’s. The game was much closer than the final score indicated as Monroe trailed by two baskets at half and rallied to be within three points in the fourth quarter. A late scoring spurt by St. Bart’s expanded the lead. Sam Clark led all Monroe scorers with 10 points. Keriann Manziano and Jackie Racine each added four points, while Jena Pritzlaff (3), Kylie Davidson (2) and Christina Felice rounded out the scoring. Alexa Carini and Meghan McClaren each had a pair of steals, while Kristen Junquet and Fallon Regan supplied some key defensive minutes. The Monroe girls continue North Brunswick League play after the Holidays.

Milltown Baseball League’s second and final spring baseball registration date is Jan. 10, and will take place at the Milltown Senior Center from 6-8 p.m. Tryouts for the Midget, Minor, and Major league levels will be held on Thursday evening, Feb. 1, and Friday evening, Feb. 2, at the Joyce Kilmer Middle School gymnasium. Parents will be notified of the time and date of their child’s tryout session.

The Monroe Recreation will be hosting men’s open league basketball program for the first time beginning in January. All players must be at least 18 years old by the start of the first game.
