Candidates pleased, humbled by show of support

This is an open letter to the residents of Milltown.Thank you for your support on Election Day. We are extremely excited to begin our work on the Borough Council and are humbled by the trust you have placed in us. You sent a clear message that you want change, and we look forward to providing a fresh perspective to our governing process.

We told you we would be focused on three things over the course of our term: responsible Ford Avenue development that will provide much needed tax relief; comprehensive reviews of each department to eliminate wasteful spending; and listening to our residents and volunteers to improve the quality of life in Milltown. As soon as we take office, we pledge to you that we will begin working on making these goals a reality in our government.

We also look forward to working with the other members on the council from the Democratic party. Although we will be in the minority, our voices will be heard, and we are hopeful that we can put politics and party labels aside for the betterment of Milltown.

We look forward to hearing from you over the course of our term. The voice of the people will not go unnoticed as long as we are on the council.

Thank you again for electing us to serve on your council - your vote did make a difference.

John Collins

councilman

Randy Farkas
