+ Haunted River Walk, sponsored by Joyce Kilmer School class of 2007, 7-9 p.m., at the new Mill Pond path starting at the gazebo near the Milltown Rescue Squad building, Main Street. Advance-sale tickets cost $7 for adults, $5 for students, $3 for seniors; add $1 for tickets purchased at the event. + Haunted House, sponsored by the Middlesex County 4-H Teen Council, 7-11 p.m., at the Middlesex County 4-H Center, Cranbury and Fern roads, East Brunswick. Admission is $2 per person. + South River Frost on the Pumpkin Road Races, registration at 7:30 a.m., Lollipop Race for children at 8:30 a.m., 1-Mile Health Walk or Run at 9 a.m., 10K Road Race at 9:30 a.m., at Dailey's Pond, Thomas and William streets, South River. + Camp Daisy Walk in the Park and Halloween Carnival, sponsored by the Daisy Association, registration at noon, 1-mile walk at 1 p.m., in Bicentennial Park, Riva Avenue, East Brunswick. Registration cost is $25 per family, $10 per individual. Free T-shirts, goodie bags, water to the first 300 youngsters to register. Halloween Carnival features food, clowns, face-painting, music, pumpkin-painting, costume contest, game booths, magician, balloon sculptor, trick-or-treating. Proceeds benefit the Daisy Association and Daisy Recreation programs for children and young people with disabilities. + Vendor Fair, sponsored by East Brunswick Hadassah, in conjunction with its annual Membership Gala Dinner, beginning at 5 p.m., dinner served at 6:30 p.m., vendor sales continue throughout the evening, at the East Brunswick Jewish Center, 511 Ryders Lane. + Think Pink Party and Laugh, Love and Live Luncheon, sponsored by St. Bartholomew Columbiettes, 2-5 p.m., in St. Bartholomew's Church Hall, 460 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. All women welcome. Participants asked to wear a pink outfit to celebrate the lives of women who have suffered from breast cancer. Tickets: $25 per person. Nov. 2

+ Pasta Dinner, sponsored by the Spotswood High School Touchdown Club, to benefit the Charger Star program, 5:30-7:30 p.m., in the cafetorium at the high school, Summerhill Road. Seatings: 5:30, 6, 6:30, 7, 7:30 p.m. Three Charger Star families receive all proceeds from the event. Cost is $10 for adults, $7 for students, $4 for children under age 12.
