+ Dvds4troops Collection, to benefit U.S. troops overseas, sponsored by the Spotswood High School History Club. DVDs and music CDs may be dropped off at the high school, Summerhill Road, in care of Frank Yusko, club adviser. Dvds4troops, begun by Iraqi Freedom veteran Sgt. + I Scream for Ice Cream, sponsored by the Monroe Township High School Music Parents Association, 6-9 p.m., at Brother B's Ice Creamery, Park Plaza, Spotswood-Englishtown Road, Monroe. + Golf Outing, sponsored by Trinity United Methodist Church, Spotswood, registration at 8 a.m., at Cranbury Golf Club, 49 Southfield Road, off Route 571. Continental breakfast, morning open driving range, lunch, reception dinner, gifts, awards. Golf tickets cost $150 each. Sponsors, contributions sought. + Barbecued Chicken Dinner, sponsored by the Elizabeth Circle of Spotswood Reformed Church, 5-7 p.m., at the church, 429 Main St. Takeouts after 4:30 p.m. Tickets cost $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and children ages 5 to 12; under age 5 admitted free of charge. Advance tickets may be purchased by calling the church office at (732) 251-9277 or from any member of the Elizabeth Circle. Tickets also available at the door.

+ Comedy-Night Dinner, sponsored by the St. Bartholomew Knights of Columbus and Columbiettes, doors open at 6:30 p.m., event begins at 8:30 p.m., in St. Bart's Parish Hall, 460 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. Three comedians, buffet dinner, dessert. Tickets cost $30 per person. (732) 257-6969.

+ Car Wash, sponsored by Cub Scout Pack No. 3, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Monroe Township Recreation Center, Monmouth Road. Proceeds go to the Scout troop.

+ All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner and Tricky Tray, sponsored by The Lakeview School Parents Association, Edison, 3-7 p.m., at East Brunswick Elks Lodge No. 2370, 20 Oakmont Ave., off Hardenburg Lane. Admission is $13 per person; children under age 6 admitted free of charge. Wine-and-beer cash bar. Proceeds go to the equipment-lending program for the disabled children of Lakeview School.
