Anthony W. Alexander

Mr. Alexander, 82, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 24 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Warnsdorfer Alexander, who died in August; by a granddaughter, Kelly Ann Alexander; and by a son-in-law, Jerry Wieciek. Surviving are three sons, Anthony Alexander Jr. of East Brunswick, Robert Alexander of Spotswood and David Alexander of Yardley, Pa.; two daughters, Mary Beth Wieciek of Spotswood and Barbara Biernacki of Odessa, Fla.; two brothers, Raymond Alexander of Piscataway and George Alexander of South River; and nine grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church Building Fund.

Raymond L. Bensin

Mr. Bensin, 79, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 23 at home. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Steiner Bensin; a son, Raymond Bensin of Marietta, Pa.; a daughter, Peggy Tedesco of Chester; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, P.O. Box 214, Elizabeth, NJ 07207.

Mary Theresa Soke Gibson

Mrs. Gibson, 91, of Doylestown, Pa., formerly of South River, died Aug. 26 in Neshaminy Manor, Warrington, Pa. Her husband, William Gibson, died in 1982. Surviving are a daughter, Marianne Kuleba of Doylestown; a son, William Gibson of Kerville, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A service was held at St. Stephen Protomartyr Church, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, also South River.

Dorothy E. Tubb Olnick

Mrs. Olnick, 78, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 24 in Cedar Oaks Care Center, South Plainfield. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Tubb. Surviving are her husband, Eugene Olnick; and two children, David of East Brunswick and Dr. Carol Olnick of Derry, N.H. Services were held at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue Force, P.O. Box 418, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

Wanda H. Sitkowski Siedlecki

Mrs. Siedlecki, 83, of South River, died Aug. 13 at home. She was a lab technician at Carter-Wallace Pharmaceuticals for 15 years, retiring in 1996. Prior to that, she was a cafeteria worker for 10 years with the East Brunswick Board of Education. Surviving are her husband, Walter Siedlecki; two sons, Walter V. and Jeffrey, both of East Brunswick; and two sisters, Irene Smykaj of South River and Ceil Wilson of South Amboy. A Mass was celebrated at St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Harry Wasnak

Mr. Wasnak, 82, of Sayreville, died Aug. 20 in Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. Prior to his retirement in 1986, he was a driver with Selover Trucking, East Brunswick, where he worked for many years. He was predeceased by a son, Greg, and by a daughter, Dolores Marie. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ferraino Wasnak; three sons, Fred of South Amboy, William of Washington Crossing, Pa., and Paul of Sayreville; a daughter, Susan Yura of Sayreville; a daughter-in-law, Judy Wasnak of the Morgan section of Sayreville; two sisters, Katherine Stratford and Marie Nicolaus; two brothers, Peter and Michael; 10 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

William Yock

Mr. Yock, 88, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 17 in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Mary Cseh Yock, died in 1994, and a grandson, Gregory Yock, died in 2003. Surviving are a son, William L. Yock of Milltown; two brothers, Raymond Yock of Old Bridge and John Yock of Hollywood, Fla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

John "Jack" Mackenzie

Mr. Mackenzie, 78, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 23 in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Graham Mackenzie; a son, John Mackenzie of East Brunswick; two daughters, Laurel Mackenzie of East Brunswick and Gail Nadonley of Sayreville; a brother, Richard Mackenzie of Florida; a sister, Joanne Loesser of the Robbinsville section of Washington Township; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Brunswick Rescue Squad.

Mary Sisk Metzger

Mrs. Metzger, 60, of East Brunswick, formerly of Old Bridge, died Aug. 23 in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, John W. Metzger; four children, Stacy M. VonCulin of Helmetta, John C. Metzger and Toby A. Metzger, both at home, and Jill K. Metzger of Sayreville; two brothers, James Sisk of Bayonne and Thomas Sisk of Peoria, Ariz.; two sisters, Betty Duffy of Bayonne and Margaret Czaplicki of East Brunswick; two nieces; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Marie Bevacqua Anastasio

Mrs. Anastasio, 65, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 26 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement this year, she was a medical assistant with the Neurology and Headache Center, East Brunswick. She was predeceased by her parents, Rose and Frank Bevacqua. Surviving are her husband, Andrew A. Anastasio III; a son, Andrew IV of Jackson; a daughter, Debra Anastasio of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick; and four grandchildren. A service is planned for 10 a.m. on Aug. 31 at Simpson United Methodist Church, Old Bridge. Entombment will follow in Frost Woods Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Simpson United Methodist Church, 2095 Route 516, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.

Mary E. Freeman Baker

Mrs. Baker, 88, of Old Bridge, died Aug. 25 at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde M. Baker. Surviving are three sons, Clyde E. and Alan, both of the Parlin section of Sayreville, and Earl of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two daughters, Shirley Burlew of North Brunswick and Deborah Craft of Old Bridge; a sister, Pearl Bea of Florida; a brother, Frank Freeman of South River; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Old Bridge.

Stanley "Sheik" Jurewicz

Mr. Jurewicz, 64, of South River, died Aug. 28 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he was employed with E.I. DuPont, Sayreville, where he worked for more than 30 years. He was predeceased by a son, John, and by his parents, Stanley and Julia. Surviving are a daughter, Lori Ryan of Sayreville; a sister, Lorraine Bauer of North Brunswick; a brother, James "Moe" Jurewicz of South River; and two grandsons. A Mass is planned for 11 a.m. on Aug. 31 at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick.
