Obituaries Frances M. Bisignano Mrs. Bisignano, 67, of Manalapan, formerly of Old Bridge and Howell, died April 22 in Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Her husband, Louis J. Bisignano, died in 1994, and a son, Michael, died in 1996. Surviving are four sons, Louis Jr. of Jackson, Larry of Bayville, John of Manalapan and Joseph of Jamesburg; a daughter, Lisa Egan of Howell; a brother, William Ford of Detroit; seven sisters, Jean Rost of Manalapan, Barbara Patton of Hightstown, Marion Nistad of Hawley, Pa., Patricia Salerno of Maryland, and Nancy Viniscofski, Ruth Thomason and Linda Ford, all of Staten Island; and 13 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lakewood. Entombment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
Josephine C. Tezyk Figura Mrs. Figura, 82, of South River, died May 1 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1989, she was employed as a bookkeeper with Armstrong Pontiac, South River, where she worked for 25 years. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1974. Surviving are a son, Raymond Fugura of South River, and a brother, Joseph Tezyk, also of South River. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Zofia Furs Mrs. Furs, 79, of Spotswood, died April 24 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Prior to her retirement in 1992, she was employed by Johnson and Johnson, New Brunswick, where she worked for 30 years. Her husband, Henry J. Furs, died in 1989. Surviving is a son, George W. Furs of Spotswood. Arrangements were under the direction of Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River.
Andrew L. Koehl Jr. Mr. Koehl, 70, of Spotswood, died April 25 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Mary Testa Koehl, died in 1999. Surviving are three daughters, Donna Panek of Bethlehem Township, Lynn Koehl of Plainsboro and Stacey Koehl of Spotswood; three brothers, Albert Koehl of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, George Koehl of Lakewood and William Koehl of Blairstown; two sisters, Doris Perry of Vermont and Marie Goodwin of Laurence Harbor; and eight grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Dialysis Clinic Inc., North Brunswick.
Robert Lohr Mr. Lohr, 79, of East Brunswick, died May 1 in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Helen Jones Lohr, died in 1998. Surviving are two sons, William Lohr and Robert Lohr; and three grandchildren, Madeleine, Abigail and Helen. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was private.
Veronica B. Takac Mrs. Takac, 79, of Spotswood, died April 29 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement in 1996, she was employed by Block Drugs, Dayton section of South Brunswick, where she worked for 16 years. Surviving are her husband, Michael A. Takac; two sons, Ronald Takac of South River and Michael T. Takac of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Louise Berger of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; and a granddaughter. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Ethel Nerod Mrs. Nerod, 81, of Monroe, died May 1 at home. Surviving are her husband, Irving; two daughters, Jill Nerod and Linda Jandoli, both of Manalapan; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan. A graveside service was held at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Joseph S. Servon Mr. Servon, 72, of Ocean Grove, formerly of South River and Seaside Park, died April 24 at home. He taught physical education for 37 years at Middlesex County College, Edison. Surviving are his wife, Lois Moore Servon; three daughters, Leslie Coffaro of Albany, N.Y., Lisa Servon of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jody Servon of Blowing Rock, N.C.; a brother, Ike Fonte of South River; a sister, Joan Higgins of Old Bridge; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary's Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick. Edna C. Dipner Mrs. Dipner, 85, of the Toms River section of Dover, died May 4 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Charles David, died in 1968. Surviving are a son, Greg of Monroe; a brother, Edward T. Walsh of Richmond, Va.; and a grandson, David. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
Elizabeth "Betty" Sebeny Farnsworth Mrs. Farnsworth, 87, of South River, died May 1. Her husband, Delmar Farnsworth, died in 1984. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Wojcik of East Brunswick and Cheryl Smutko of Colts Neck; a sister, Helen Lucas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
Gilbert Gross Mr. Gross, 92, of Old Bridge, died May 1 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1978, he was employed as a maintenance worker for Anheuser-Busch Inc., Old Bridge, where he worked for 47 years. He also served as an officer with the East Brunswick Police Department from 1946-48. His wife, Agnes Denker Gross, died in 2005. Surviving are a daughter, Karen Bennett of East Brunswick; two sisters, Mary Pekarski of East Brunswick and Elizabeth Gross of Highland Park; and two grandchildren. A service was held at Simpson United Methodist Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Theresa A. Fafara Marusiak Mrs. Marusiak, 78, of Sayreville, died May 4 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Nick Marusiak; two sons, James of Marlboro and David of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Mary Unkel of Sayreville and Anna Fafara of South River; two brothers, John Fafara of South River and Lee Fafara of Viera, Fla.; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.
Raymond J. Naperkowski Mr. Naperkowski, 75, of South River, died April 30 at home. Prior to his retirement in 2005, he was employed as a building inspector with the borough of South River Construction Office, where he worked for 39 years. Prior to that, he was a self-employed contractor. Surviving are two daughters, Diane Bergman of Colorado and Debra Baron of South River; two sisters, Lucy Tamburello of Spring Hill, Fla., and Jenny Brylinski of South Amboy; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Agnes Bruhn Sheehan Mrs. Sheehan, 99, of East Brunswick, died April 22 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement, she was a saleswoman at P.J. Young Department Store, New Brunswick, and Newberry Variety Store, East Brunswick. Her husband, Walton Sheehan, died in 1967, and a son, John Sheehan, died in 2003. Surviving are many nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.
