Feb. 9

• Cell Phones for Soldiers Drive, ongoing, at Liberty Tax Service, 723 Route 18, at Racetrack Road, East Brunswick. Donations of used cell phones are sought. Each phone is recycled through Cell Phones for Soldiers (www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com) to provide a 100-minute calling card for a member of the military stationed overseas. All Liberty Tax offices are drop-off sites for the drive. (732) 390-5576.

Feb. 11

• Valentine Pasta Night, sponsored by the St. Lawrence Rosary Society, dinner at 5:30 p.m., children’s talent show at 7 p.m., in the parish center at the church, Laurence Parkway, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Tickets cost $8 for adults, $4 for children under age 12; price includes salad, pasta dinner, dessert. Cost is $5 per ticket for dessert and show only. Call Mary at (848) 218-0273.

• Winter Carnival, sponsored by the Bowne-Munro Elementary School PTA, noon to 3 p.m., at the school, 120 Main St., East Brunswick. Eric the Magician will offer shows at 1 and 1:30 p.m. Cost for show is $3. Face-painting, raffles, games, prizes, food. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

• Garage Sale, sponsored by Corpus Christi School, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the school cafeteria, 80 David St., South River. Bake sale and 50/50 raffle. Kitchen will sell hot items for lunch. All proceeds benefit the school. Call Sharon Feniello at (732) 254-0655.

Feb. 12

• All-You-Can-Eat Country Breakfast, sponsored by Milltown Masonic Lodge No. 294, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the lodge, 30 N. Main St. (upstairs from the Bergens Mills Cafe). Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under age 12. Tickets available at the door. (732) 605-1477.

• Pot Roast Dinner, sponsored by Spotswood Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4589, 3-7 p.m., at the post home, 33 Daniel Road, Spotswood. Main course, salad, dessert, coffee, tea, soda. Donation is $8 for adults, $5 for children age 10 and under. To reserve, call (732) 251-9862 after 3:30 p.m.
