Neil Buchanan

Mr. Buchanan, 56, of East Brunswick, died Dec. 11 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a mechanic with Schundler Co., Edison. Surviving are his wife, Mary Territo Buchanan; a son, Jason Buchanan; and a daughter, Cortney Buchanan. Visitation is planned for 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Dec. 15 at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Services are set for 8 p.m. on Dec. 15 at the funeral home.

Mary C. Cerro

Mrs. Cerro, 90, of East Brunswick, died Dec. 4 in Claremont Center, Point Pleasant. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; two sons, Angelo and Joseph; and a son-in-law, Michael Silvocka. Surviving are three daughters, Margaret Perez of East Brunswick, Carmella Silvocka of Brick and Theresa Baxter of Point Pleasant; a son, John Cerro of Brick; a brother, Rocco Vitale of Montreal; three sisters, Palma Poce, Josephine Camplone and Ann Farham, all of Montreal; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Douglas E. Roed

Mr. Roed, 55, of Spotswood, formerly of East Brunswick, died Dec. 10 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a carpenter with his family’s woodworking business, Colonial Pitcher, East Brunswick, for many years. His father, Edward C. Roed, died in 2002. Surviving are his mother, Evelyn Solvang Roed of East Brunswick; a brother, Steven Roed, also of East Brunswick; a sister, Janice Roed of Edison; and two nieces. Services were held at Nativity Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.

Barbara M. Jordan Gilbert

Mrs. Gilbert, of East Brunswick, died Dec. 6 at home. Her husband, Robert James Gilbert, died in 1986. Surviving are two daughters, Colleen Sykes and Linda Trunk, both of East Brunswick; two granddaughters, Melissa and Candice Sykes; and one great-granddaughter, Daniella Meringer. Graveside services were held in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Doris M. Mears Johnson

Mrs. Johnson, 81, of East Brunswick, died Dec. 8 in Willow Creek Nursing Home, Somerset section of Franklin. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen D. Love and Glenn Bell of East Brunswick; a sister, Virginia Reeves of Runnemede; and two grandsons, Daniel and Patrick Bell. A service was held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars post of one’s choice.

Marguerite Carson Logan

Mrs. Logan, 94, of Monroe, formerly of Spotswood, died Dec. 11 in Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, William Logan, died in 1980. Surviving are a son, William Logan Jr. of Spotswood; two daughters, Marguerite Chigirovich of Pennsylvania and Joan Mackay of Monroe; a brother, Earl Carson of the Somerset section of Franklin; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 15 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, Monroe. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Frank D. Martinelli

Mr. Martinelli, 70, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died Nov. 23 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he was the rink supervisor for Old Bridge Township for more than 25 years. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Marchetto Martinelli; two daughters, Cheryl Johnson and Doreen Martinelli; his mother, Helen Martinelli; and two grandchildren. Services were held at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro.

William Bauries

Mr. Bauries, 81, of East Brunswick, formerly of Milltown, died Nov. 30 in Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1988, he was employed as a manager of development engineering for Personal Products, Milltown, where he worked for 35 years. Surviving are his wife, Antoinette Pepitone Bauries; two sons, William A. Bauries of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Robert J. Bauries of Piscataway; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Anna Bruhn Fratto

Mrs. Fratto, 81, of East Brunswick, died Dec. 2 at home. Her husband, Alfred Fratto, died in 1996. Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia Czarnecki of East Brunswick; a brother, William Bruhn of East Brunswick; four sisters, Doris Dodd of California, Janet Palermo of Allentown, Pa., Elaine Szegeti of South River and Marilyn Wojciechowski of Florida; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Leona C. Luker Hankinson

Mrs. Hankinson, 93, of South River, died Dec. 12 in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, Wilbur E. Hankinson, died in 1966. Surviving is a son, John Hankinson of Monroe. Services are planned for 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 15 at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Hackettstown.

Joseph P. Robe

Mr. Robe, 62, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, formerly of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, died Dec. 7 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. He was a chemical operator for nine years at National Lead Inc., Sayreville, prior to entering the New Jersey State Police Academy, Sea Girt, in 1973. After retiring from the state police as a detective in 1989, he was a self-employed private investigator with J. Robe Investigations, Parlin. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Kantor Robe; four daughters, Renee Robe Osterbye of Jackson, Darlene and Justine Robe of Parlin and Dawn Marie Sandoval of Ewing; a sister, Eleanor Stefanski of Middletown; a granddaughter; and two nieces and four nephews. A service was held at John Calvin Magyar Reformed Church, Perth Amboy. Interment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.

John J. Jensen Jr.

Mr. Jensen, 66, of Monroe, died Nov. 30 at home. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he was a captain in the detective bureau at the East Brunswick Police Department, where he worked for more than 34 years. Surviving are his wife, Marie Zicchino Jensen; four sons, John Jensen III and David Jensen, both of Monroe, Eric Jensen of Hamilton and Anthony Jensen of East Brunswick; a daughter, Lisa Jensen-DiIorio of Illinois; and 13 grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Marie T. Mangone Liloia

Mrs. Liloia, 84, of East Brunswick, formerly of Edison, died Dec. 11 in Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. Surviving are her husband, Ralph; a son, Ralph Liloia Jr. of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a daughter, Valerie J. Reister of Jackson; a brother, Louis Mangone of Long Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on Dec. 15 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.
