Obituaries Joseph C. Grimaldi Mr. Grimaldi, 86, of North Brunswick, died Nov. 28 in Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Rosa Ria Cascino Grimaldi; two sons, Joseph C. Grimaldi of East Brunswick and Michael Grimaldi of New Brunswick; a daughter, Paula Reardon of North Brunswick; and three grandchildren. A funeral blessing will be held on Dec. 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
Antonietta Mustillo Mrs. Mustillo, 90, of Red Bank, died Nov. 19 in Columbus Hospital, Newark. She was a seamstress who made her own clothing. She was predeceased by her husband, Valentino Mustillo. Surviving are two sons, Luigi Mustillo of Union and Corrado Mustillo of Milltown; a brother, Enzo DeSantis of Montreal; two sisters, Consiglia and Maria DeSantis, both of Italy; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. James Church, Red Bank. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Mary Jacob Martin Mrs. Martin, 89, of East Brunswick, formerly of South River and Englishtown, died Nov. 22 in Willowcreek Rehabilitation and Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. Prior to her retirement in 1969, she was employed as a seamstress with M&M Sportswear, South River, where she worked for 20 years. Her husband, Peter Martin, died in 1969. Surviving are a nephew, Joseph R. Jacob of South Amboy, and a niece, Marion Bates of Trenton. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
Maria Sarajew Mrs. Sarajew, 92, of South River, died Nov. 26 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a seamstress with South River Coat Co., and Brodsky and Sons, also South River. Her husband, Sergij Sarajew, died in 1973. Surviving are three children, Sergie “Sonny” of East Brunswick, John of Illinois and Gregory of Vineland; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A service was held at Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in St. Vladimir’s Cemetery, Jackson. Memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church or to the South River Rescue Squad.
Jose A. Figueroa Mr. Figueroa, 52, of South River, died Nov. 26 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed as an auto mechanic by the borough of South River Maintenance Dept., where he worked for 15 years. Surviving are four children, Angelina Figueroa, Jennifer Figueroa and Joseph Figueroa, all of South River, and James Figueroa of the Keasbey section of Woodbridge; his mother, Angelina Figueroa of Texas; 12 brothers and sisters; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment of cremated remains was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
George Jacewicz Mr. Jacewicz, 44, of Bonita Springs, Fla., formerly of South River, died Oct. 23 in a weather-related motorcycle accident. Surviving are his wife, Julie; a daughter, Ginger, and a son, Jon Luke; his parents, Henry and Katherine Jacewicz of South River; a brother, Henry Jacewicz Jr. of Princeton; three sisters, Diana Keithley of Bonita Springs, Nona Gross of Stockton and Lillie Tur of South River; and a nephew and a niece. A private funeral service was held in Florida. A panahida service is planned for 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 at St. Euphrosynia Church, South River. A memorial dinner will follow. Robert M. Cerullo Mr. Cerullo, 20, of East Brunswick, died Nov. 24 at home. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Adeline and John Pedersen. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Robert J. and Bernadette Cerullo of East Brunswick; his mother, Christine Cerullo of Yonkers, N.Y.; a sister, Kristianna Cerullo, also of Yonkers; his grandparents, Michael and Natalie Cerullo of Altoona, Pa.; three uncles, Michael Cerullo and Eugene Lorino of Westchester County, N.Y., and Donald Pedersen of Rockaway; four aunts, Kathleen Weis of Somers, N.Y., Arlene O’Shea of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Andrea Cerullo of Altoona and Josephine Jiminez of Ardsley, N.Y. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
Senkel-Maglies Ms. Senkel-Maglies, 61, of Helmetta, died Nov. 23 at home. She worked for 40 years at Consolidated Apartments, Helmetta. She was predeceased by her mother, Helmi, and by her father, Edmund. Surviving are her companion, Robert Maglies; a brother, Marvin Senkel of East Brunswick; two stepsons, Jim Maglies of Brick and Robert Maglies of the Ringoes section of East Amwell; nine grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Tressa A. Uhl Baumann Mrs. Baumann, 81, of Spotswood, died Nov. 24 in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. She was a crossing guard in Spotswood for several years. Her husband, Otto Baumann, died in 1985; and a son, Otto W. Baumann Jr., U.S. Army, was killed in action in Vietnam. Surviving are two sons, Howard of Spotswood and Gary of Old Bridge; two brothers, Harvey Uhl and Howard Uhl, both of Spotswood; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Spotswood Reformed Church. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Spotswood Reformed Church, 428 Main St., Spotswood, NJ 08884.
Janina Kantowski Malolepszy Mrs. Malolepszy, 55, of South River, formerly of Sayreville, died Nov. 19 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her father, Mieczyslaw Kantowski. Surviving are her husband, Zygmunt; a son, Marcin; her mother, Helena Kuziemski Kantowski of Sayreville; a brother, Mark Kantowski of Tilton, H.H.; a sister, Gabriela Swistak of Sayreville; two nieces, Sara Kantowski and Kathy Mastorio; and a nephew, Steven Swistak. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Cremation was private.
