Obituaries Walter Koza Mr. Koza, 87, of South River, formerly of East Brunswick, died Nov. 2 at home. A daughter, Mary Koza, died in 1946, and a son, Jan, died in 2002. Surviving are his wife, Anna Zachepylo Koza; a daughter, Rose Prusik of South River; a granddaughter, Jennifer Moore of Atlanta; a grandson, Jason Prusik of South River; a nephew, Dr. Bohdan Malyk of North Carolina; and three great-nephews. A Mass was offered at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, New Brunswick. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
John Joseph “Jack” McCaffrey Mr. McCaffrey, 64, of Freehold Township, formerly of Manalapan, died Oct. 31 at home. Surviving are his wife, Bambina Caruso McCaffrey; three sons, Robert McCaffrey of East Brunswick and Peter and Jonathan McCaffrey, both of Freehold Township; a daughter, Maryann Cilea of Marlboro; two brothers, Robert McCaffrey of Brooklyn, N.Y., and William McCaffrey of New York City; and five grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold Township. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.
Edward Walsh Mr. Walsh, 76, of Spotswood, formerly of Old Bridge, died Nov. 2 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are a son, Edward Walsh II of Spotswood, and a sister, Mary Paul of Old Town, Maine. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
Raymond S. Majewski Mr. Majewski, 75, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of South River and Spotswood, died Nov. 4 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1992, he was employed as a mechanic at Kimberly-Clark Corp., formerly Peter J. Switzer, Spotswood, where he worked for 36 years. Surviving are his wife, Sophie Marshawek Majewski; three sons, Robert of Port St. Lucie, Raymond of Maryland and Kenneth of Spotswood; a brother, John Majewski of North Brunswick; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of theTreasure Coast, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
Virginia M. Thompson Pack Mrs. Pack, 79, of East Brunswick, died Nov. 5 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Carl Otto Christian Pack III, died in 1983. Surviving are three sons, Carl Otto Christian Pack of Rahway, Gary David Pack of East Brunswick and Timothy Edward Pack of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Colleen Wells of East Brunswick and Patricia Uhl of Spotswood; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. A memorial service was held at Nativity Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. Cremation was private.
Edythe Laverne Russell Vicidomini Mrs. Vicidomini, 68, of Monroe, formerly of Sayreville, died Nov. 2 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Ralph, died in 2002. Surviving are two sons, Ralph Jr. of Monroe and Michael of Sayreville; a daughter, Donna Sloan of South Amboy; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, North Brunswick. Joseph Chagnon Mr. Chagnon, 76, of Little Egg Harbor, formerly of East Brunswick, died Oct. 25 in Bert Fish Hospital, New Smyrna Beach, Fla. A retired school administrator, he served as chairman of the East Brunswick Sewerage Authority. A daughter, Elaine Chagnon Coughlan, died in 1988, and a son, John K. Chagnon, died in 1994. Surviving are his wife, Placidia Rodriguez Chagnon; three sons, Joseph Chagnon, David Chagnon and Raymond Chagnon; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Brunswick Public Library.
Sophie H. Servon Tobias Mrs. Tobias, 89, of Sayreville, died Nov. 1 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by E.I. DuPont Photo Products Division, Sayreville. Before that, she worked for Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville. Surviving are her husband, Benjamin M. Tobias; three daughters, Patricia Williams of Elkton, Md., Virginia Izzo of Sayreville and Cynthia Tobias Hayden of South River; two brothers, John Servon of South River and Alfred Servon of Monroe; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
