Nov. 10

• Card Party, sponsored by St. Thomas the Apostle HSA, doors open at 6:45 p.m., event begins at 8 p.m., in the school auditorium, Route 18 south, Old Bridge. Admission is $15; includes coffee, dessert, door-prize entry, four prize-table tickets, goody bag. Additional raffle tickets available for purchase. Individuals under age 18 will not be admitted. • Art With Heart, sponsored by the Sayreville Pet Adoption Center, hosted by New Jersey-born artist Joe Lugara, 6-7:30 p.m., at the Sayreville Public Library, Washington Road. Lugara will display original artworks; a silent auction will be held for one of the pieces. Light buffet, beverages. All proceeds from admission donations, silent auction and a portion of each sale will help feed and care for the 100 adoptable animals housed at the Sayreville Pet Adoption Center, 1400 Main Street. • Premiere Jewelry Show and Sale, sponsored by Knights of Columbus Columbiettes Council No. 6336, 8 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall, at 83 Lincoln Ave., Monroe. The Columbiettes council is made up of members from the following parishes: St. James, Jamesburg; Holy Trinity, Helmetta; and Nativity of Our Lord, Monroe. Coffee, tea, cake. • Holiday Grave Blanket Sale, sponsored by St. Mary’s Altar Rosary Society, South River. Cost is $20 for a 36-inch blanket decorated with pine cones, poinsettias, bow. • Tricky Tray, sponsored by the Daughters of Penelope, Tethys Chapter No. 229, 7 p.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1101 River Road, Piscataway. Christmas gifts, electronics, toys, crystal, Lenox, jewelry, gift baskets. Admission is $7; includes one sheet of auction tickets and coffee, tea, homemade Greek pastries. • Bazaar, Ham Dinner and Autumn Harvest Quilt Raffle, sponsored by Spotswood Reformed Church, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 11, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 12, at the church, 429 Main St. (across from the Spotswood Post Office). Toys, homemade crafts, Christmas decorations, baked goods, second-hand treasures, surprise packages in the Parcel Post Room, luncheonette. Soups, sandwiches, beverages, desserts available.
