• “Kidstuff” Coupon Book Sale, sponsored by Special Education PTA (SEPTA) of South River. Each family-oriented book contains coupons for savings for merchants and activities in Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon counties. Cost is $25. To order, call (732) 651-7157.

Oct. 6-31

• Teacher/Student School-Supply Collection, sponsored by Heather Halinski of Old Bridge, a senior at Kean University, Union, at the Old Bridge Public Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road. All items dropped off will be donated to elementary schools in Old Bridge. Halinski is conducting the service project as part of the membership requirements for Kappa Delta Pi, the educational honor society for college students.

Oct. 7-9

• Car Wash, Clothes Drive and Mum and Pumpkin Sale, sponsored by the Spotswood High School Band Parents Association, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the parking lot at the high school, 105 Summerhill Road. Donations of clothing, shoes, linens gratefully accepted at the clothing drive. Proceeds support band activities.

• Dinner-Dance, to honor the most recent past grand knight and all past grand knights, sponsored by Our Lady of Victory Knights of Columbus Council No. 2061, 7 p.m., at the Knights Victorian Hall, Washington Road, Parlin section of Sayreville. • Golf Outing, sponsored by Brothers Helping Brothers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families of New Jersey firefighters killed or disabled in the line of duty, tee-off and shotgun start at 7:45 a.m., at the Concordia Golf Club, Monroe. Continental breakfast, hamburgers and hot dogs on the turn, buffet lunch, awards ceremony. Hole-in-one challenge for an automobile; 50/50; prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive, more.
