Obituaries Alberta Logan DeGraw Mrs. DeGraw, 72, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 17 at her son’s East Brunswick home. She was an accounting assistant at Nisonoff and Quadrel, South River, for 36 years, retiring in 2004. Surviving are her husband, Alvin; two sons, Dennis DeGraw and Kevin DeGraw, both of East Brunswick; a sister, Dorothy Feldner of Ocean City; and four grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Archie Kurdonik Mr. Kurdonik, 85, of Union, formerly of South River, died Aug. 6 in Rose Garden Nursing Home, Toms River section of Dover. Prior to his retirement, he was a self-employed butcher and the owner of Archie’s Market, Elizabeth, for several years. His wife, Emily Betza Kurdonik, died in 2000. Surviving are a son, Mark Kurdonik of Toms River; two brothers, Thomas Kurdonik of Milltown and George Kurdonik of Whitehall, Pa.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River, was in charge of arrangements. Jeanne Fatta Brightman Mrs. Brightman, 86, of Monroe, died Aug. 14 in University Medical Center at Princeton. Surviving are her husband, Raymond Brightman; two daughters, Terry Meade of the Princeton Junction section of West Windsor and Sandy Mednick of Old Bridge; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Entombment was in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick, was in charge of arrangements.
Adria Intili Stein Mrs. Stein, 60, of South Amboy, died Aug. 11 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. She was predeceased by her first husband, Anthony, in 1995. Surviving are her husband, Marvin Stein; two daughters, Paula Wisenfelder of Sayreville and Jodie Intili of East Brunswick; a sister, Wendy Becker of Florida; a granddaughter; and a niece. Interment was in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, was in charge of arrangements.
Joseph Vincent Espinosa Mr. Espinosa, 50, of Brick, formerly of Old Bridge and Freehold, died Aug. 15 at home. He was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Matawan for the past 20 years. He was predeceased by his mother, Janet, in 2000. Surviving are his wife, Joan; a daughter and son, Deanna Victoria and Vincent Joseph, both at home; his father, George Espinosa of Hazlet; a sister, Linda Rosa of Irvine, Calif.; a brother-in-law, John Russo of Matawan; a niece; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Dominic’s Church, Brick. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River section of Dover. John H. Metz III Mr. Metz, 58, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Aug. 9 at home. Prior to his retirement in 2002, he was a letter carrier for 21 years and a supervisor for 15 years at the U.S. Postal Service in Parlin. His father, John H. Metz Jr., died in 1996. Surviving are his wife, Linda Deane Metz; four sons, John E. Metz and Kenneth G. Metz, both of Parlin, Matthew J. Metz of East Windsor and Christopher J. Metz of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge; his mother, Madelyn Goolic Metz of the Waretown section of Ocean; two brothers, Richard Metz of Parlin and Raymond Metz of New Fairfield, Conn.; a sister, Nancy Protonentis of Waretown; his mother-in-law, Gloria Deane of Parlin; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Joseph S. Tranotti Mr. Tranotti, 75, of Old Bridge, died Aug. 15 at home. Surviving are his wife, Rose E. Romeo Tranotti; two sons, Philip Tranotti of Metuchen and Steven Tranotti of Bangor, Pa.; a daughter, Janine Howarth of Eatontown; and seven grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Monica Rose Hearon Ms. Hearon, 78, of Sayreville, died Aug. 9 at home. Surviving are five sisters, Bernice Monaghan of New Brunswick, Catherine Hull of Newton, Mary Elizabeth Hearon of the Toms River section of Dover, and Regina Lodato and Dee Ciccone, both of Sayreville; a brother, James B. Hearon of Henderson, Nev.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, East Orange. Arrangements were under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville.
Donald Wieboldt Mr. Wieboldt, 62, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 11 at home. He owned and operated MidState Pet Supply, East Brunswick, for 30 years, retiring in 2000. Surviving are a son, Alex Wieboldt of East Brunswick; his companion, Francine Cicchi of South River; two brothers, Herman Wieboldt Jr. of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Gary Wieboldt of Pulaski, N.Y.; two sisters, Joan Curtis of Mexico, N.Y., and Lorelei Germain of East Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.
