Justine M. Arace Capone

Mrs. Capone, 88, of East Brunswick, died June 20 in Care One, East Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Capone, in 1981; by a son-in-law, Edward A. Davis, in 2003; and by a great-grandson, Matthew Edward Morosoff. Surviving are a daughter, Diane Davis of East Brunswick; a brother, Nicholas Arace of Kissimmee, Fla.; two sisters, Florence Russo of Clark and Julia Fabiano of Metuchen; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1600 Route 22 East, Union, NJ 07083.

Vivian M. Gill Iaria

Mrs. Iaria, 73, of East Brunswick, died June 24. A son, Peter Iaria, died in 1996. Surviving are her husband, Carmelo Iaria; two sons, Richard Iaria of Seattle and Michael Iaria of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; a daughter, Carol Latyschow of East Brunswick; two sisters, Betty Petoh of Florida and Dolores Stevens of Virginia; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stephen Protomartyr Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Albert Mayer

Mr. Mayer, 78, of Monroe, died June 24 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Bernice Schultz Mayer; a daughter, Susan Mayer of Lexington, Mass.; two sons, Larry of Lee, N.H., and Bob of Brooklyn, N.Y; two sisters, Margot Rund of Maryland and Eleanor Gottlieb of Deer Park, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Wellwood Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Family Services of Middlesex County, 52 Concordia Shopping Center, Monroe, NJ 08831, or to the charity of one’s choice.

Joseph Povlosky

Mr. Povlosky, 78, of Spotswood, died June 22 at home. His wife, Stella, died in 1990. Surviving are a son, Joseph Jr. of Monroe; two daughters, Cathy Tosado of Monroe and Carmela Povlosky of Spotswood; a brother, John Povlosky of Modesto, Calif.; a sister, Helen Bowden of Peckville, Pa.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

William J. Basara

Mr. Basara, 89, of South River, formerly of Okeechobee, Fla., died June 21 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement in 1971, he was employed by Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Huber Basara; by a granddaughter, Judith Ann Basara; and by a grandson, Frank T. Szabo. Surviving are a son, Joseph Basara, and a daughter, Sonja Harris, both of South River; a brother, John Basara, also of South River; a sister, Genevieve Pachucki of Perth Amboy; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A service was held at Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, or to St. Herman’s Church of Alaska, Lake Worth, Fla.

Edward M. Manns Sr.

Mr. Manns, 86, of East Brunswick, died June 20 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he was production manager for Helme Tobacco, Helmetta, where he worked for 35 years. His wife, Marie, died in 1987. Surviving are two sons, Edward Manns Jr. of the Browns Mills section of Pemberton and Christopher Manns of New Jersey; a daughter, Barbara Cannon of South River; two sisters, Mary O’Leary of Old Bridge and Bertha McGimpsey-Finley of Paramus; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Raymond Richard Mendoker

Mr. Mendoker, 74, of Sayreville, formerly of South River, died June 27 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed as a product release coordinator at Bristol-Myers Squibb, North Brunswick, where he worked for 45 years. Surviving are his wife, Irene Krzywicki Mendoker; two daughters, Marie Horvath of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Lynette Cucco of East Brunswick; a brother, Edward Mendoker; a sister-in-law, Helen Mendoker; three sisters, Jane Hodkiewicz, Julia Schira and Irene Palmowski; and five grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on June 30 at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Anne Duma Rock

Mrs. Rock, 82, of Sayreville, died June 23 in Willow Creek Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. Prior to his retirement, she was employed for 10 years with E.I. DuPont Photo Products, Parlin section of Sayreville. Her husband, Matthew Rock, died in 1977. Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn Rock of North Brunswick; a son, Matthew Rock of Sayreville; a brother, John Duma of Old Bridge; a sister, Helen Kaczorowski of South River; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

John A. Nowaszynski

Mr. Nowaszynski, 88, of Sayreville, died June 25 in St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Prior to his retirement in 1974, he was employed as a chemical operator with Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for 33 years. Surviving are a sister, Wanda Piscitelli of South River; a nephew, Frank Piscitelli Jr. of Sayreville; a niece, Stacey Piscitelli; and two great-nephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

Raul Carlos Pereira

Mr. Pereira, 72, of South River, died June 27 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was employed as a machine operator at Pfizer Corp., formerly Quigley Corp., Sayreville, where he worked for 12 years. His wife, Maria deLourdes Pereira, died in 1982. Surviving are two daughters, Regina Amada of Englishtown and Sylvia Rocha of South River; a brother, Antonio; two sisters, Armanda and Jermana; and four grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 11 a.m. on June 30 at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Lillian F. Tellini

Mrs. Tellini, 64, of Old Bridge, died June 12 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Her husband, Albert, died in 1994. Surviving are four daughters, Joanne Hossain of Englishtown, Marianne Morello of Freehold, Donna Hackett of Old Bridge and Lillian Tomasulo of Monroe; two sons, Steven of Matawan and Richie of Old Bridge; two brothers, Ralph Romano of Philadelphia and Sabino Romano of the Toms River section of Dover; and 15 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Robert Wisniewski

Mr. Wisniewski, 58, of Spotswood, died June 22 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. A former member of the special police in East Brunswick, he was co-owner and operator of Stewart’s Restaurant, East Brunswick, until 1979. He was most recently employed in food services with the Monroe Township School District. He was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Steven Wisniewski. Surviving are his wife, Carol Floy Wisniewski; a daughter, Carrie House of the Toms River section of Dover; two sons, Robert F. Wisniewski and Brian S. Wisniewski, both of Spotswood; a brother, Ronald Wisniewski of Toms River; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River.
