Grateful to Jamesburg emergency services

A few weeks ago at 1 a.m. an ambulance was called to my home in Regency Walk Estates, Helmetta. I am so thankful Helmetta hired extra help for evening coverage while the borough was shorthanded with its own police.

Officer Jason Muller of the Jamesburg Police Department was there before my husband even opened the door. He proved helpful in assisting the rescue squad in getting me from the floor to the stretcher.

Jim Neumyer and Erick Kelman of the Jamesburg First Aid Squad were terrific. They were professional, well-informed and very compassionate in caring for me.

Thank goodness they had the right equipment (a HAIR traction splint) needed to transport me in comfort. My first trip in an ambulance (in which I said I would never go) was bearable.

Thanks, everyone.

Janet Christensen
