Donations sought for troops serving overseas

Assemblyman Bill Baroni (R-14) recently announced that his office will collect items for inclusion in holiday baskets to be hand-delivered to New Jersey troops stationed overseas.

Contributions may be brought to Baroni’s office at 2239 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Suite E, Hamilton. The items will then be packaged for the holidays and given to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMAVA). Maj. Gen. Glenn Rieth, DMAVA adjutant general, who will travel overseas in the upcoming months, will deliver the donations to the troops.

Suggested items for donation include prepaid phone cards, boxed holiday cards, chewing gum, toiletries, deodorant, razors, books, audio books, hard candy, pens, playing cards, sewing kits, stationery and puzzles.

For more information and directions, call (609) 631-9988 or e-mail AsmBaroni@njleg.org.
