Frances Picciolo

Mrs. Picciolo, 89, of Middletown, died Nov. 7 in Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Picciolo, and by a daughter, Josephine Ann Picciolo. Surviving are three sons, Frank Picciolo, Salvatore Picciolo and Thomas Picciolo, all of Monroe; a daughter, Josephine Agostinacchio of Middletown; a sister, Ann Natilli; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Park. Laura Rocha Conti

Mrs. Conti, 76, of East Brunswick, died Nov. 3 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1992. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Conti of East Brunswick and James Conti of Allentown; three daughters, Patricia Conti of Freehold and Mary Conti and Carolyn Conti, both of East Brunswick; four brothers, Adolfo, Hans, Gustavo and Paulo Rocha, all of Brazil; three sisters, Ruth Chassee of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Thereza Cook and Martha Rocha, both of Brazil; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Mary J. Tarjani

Mrs. Tarjani, 83, of Milltown, died Nov. 8 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a lunch aide at Parkview School, Milltown, for 10 years. Surviving are her husband, Joseph L. Tarjani; a son, Chris Tarjani of North Brunswick; three sisters, Angie Hart of North Brunswick, Genieve Carey of Winter Haven, Fla., and Catherine Salvette of Freehold; and three brothers, Peter Previte of East Brunswick, Anthony Previte of North Brunswick and Albert Previte of Jamesburg. A funeral liturgy will be offered at 10 a.m. on Nov. 11 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Milltown Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 308, Milltown, NJ 08850.

Theresa S. Shkoda Borak

Mrs. Borak, 87, of South River, died Nov. 6 in Francis E. Parker Memorial Home, Piscataway. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with the South River Tax Office and Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Her husband, John, died in 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Janice Meade of South River; two sons, John Mark Borak of Maryland and Robert of East Brunswick; a sister, Mildred Gaul of Eatontown; and five grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church.

Marcia A. Haber Lederer

Mrs. Lederer, 69, of Monroe, died Nov. 3 in New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. Surviving are her husband, Marshal; a son, Andrew of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two daughters, Cynthia Michelson of Oak Hill, Va., and Suzanne Slatkin of Potomac Falls, Va.; a brother, Eugene Haber of New York City; and four grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to the charity of one’s choice.

Christian Figueira Mota

Christian, 9, died Nov. 7 in New York University Medical Center, New York City. He was a third-grade student at South River Elementary School. Surviving are his parents, Alfredo and Celeste Mota of South River; a sister, Melanie Jennifer Mota of South River; his paternal grandmother, Zelia Figueiras, and his maternal grandmother, Maria Elisia Vinagre, both of Portugal; and his maternal great-grandmother, Beatriz Baptista, also of Portugal. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mota family for an education fund in Christian’s name.

Faye Steinberg Basow

Mrs. Basow, 86, of Monroe, died Nov. 4 in University Medical Center at Princeton. Her husband, Philip Basow, died in 2000. Surviving are two daughters, Penny Budow of Alpharetta, Ga., and Dr. Susan Basow of Easton, Pa.; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Steinberg of Monroe and Fay Steinberg of Manalapan; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three cousins. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in North Arlington Jewish Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah, 50 W. 58th St., New York, NY 10019.

Lillian Horvath Russell

Mrs. Russell, 85, of South River died Nov. 6 at home. Her husband, Arthur W. Russell, died in 1992. Surviving are a son, Kenneth Russell of Willingboro; three grandchildren, Kenneth, Kevin and Kim; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Daniel Abraham Benjamin

Daniel, 17, of East Brunswick, formerly of Old Bridge, died Nov. 3 in Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a student at East Brunswick High School, where he was a member of the percussion section of the school’s marching band. Surviving are his parents, Rebecca and Philip Benjamin; a sister, Hannah, at home; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Institute for Children With Cancer and Blood Disorders, P.O. Stanley A. “Red” Domzal

Mr. Domzal, 76, of Sayreville, died Nov. 3 in New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park, Edison. Prior to his retirement, he was a supervisor at DuPont Photo Products, Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for 38 years. His wife, Edna Szkodny Domzal, died in 2002. Surviving are a son, David M. Domzal of Sayreville, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus School Endowment Fund, 225 MacArthur Ave., Sayreville, NJ 08872.

Clara Nielsen Seddon

Mrs. Seddon, 83, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Nov. 7 in Regency Park Nursing Center, Hazlet. Surviving are her husband, John W. Seddon Jr.; a son, John “Chris” Seddon of Freehold; a daughter, Suzanne Kilpatrick of the Morgan section of Sayreville; a brother-in-law, Joseph E. Seddon, and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Harrelson, both of Lake Orion, Mich.; and a grandson. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Interment was in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
