Pauline Berzenski (Brzezenski) Ulyak

Mrs. Ulyak of South River, formerly of Sayreville, died June 26 at home. Prior to her retirement many years ago, she was employed by E.I. DuPont, Parlin section of Sayreville, where she worked for 22 years. Surviving are her husband, Julius "Juice" Ulyak; a daughter, Shelley Ann Ulyak of the Franklin Park section of Franklin; a granddaughter, Stefanie Lynn DeStefano; a goddaughter, Cheryl Bove; many nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association Central New Jersey Hospice, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ 07701, or to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords, NJ 08863.

Ercell Saverance Dunyak

Mrs. Dunyak, 80, of South River died July 2 in Roosevelt Care Center, Edison. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Edward Dunyak. Surviving are two sons, Theodore Jr. and Terrance W., both of South River; a daughter, Elizabeth Varadi of Pennsylvania; and eight grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Arrangements and private cremation were under the direction of Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River.

Henry Dziemian

Mr. Dziemian, 76, of South River died July 6 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Surviving are his wife, Pauline Nemerovich Dziemian; two sons, Henry Dziemian Jr. and Adam Dziemian, both of South River; and a sister, Helen Uliczny of Goshen, N.Y. A service was held at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, P.O. Box 130, South Canaan, PA 18459.

Patricia Anthony

Mrs. Anthony, 64, of Milltown died July 1 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Eugene Anthony; two daughters, Sissy Shannon and Irene Ammons; three sons, Paul Shannon, Mike Shannon and Robert Shannon; three stepchildren, John Anthony, Debra VanLiew and Nancy Tagliaferro; two sisters, Mary Snook and Marlene Kish; six sisters-in-law, Josie Anthony, Marie Bengston, Joyce Changery, Rosella Czanito, Delores DeSantis and Marion Hoff; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at VanLiew Cemetery, North Brunswick.

Floyd L. Wyluda

Mr. Wyluda, 72, of South River died June 26 in Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River section of Dover. The owner of Stephens Insurance Co., Sayreville, since 1984, he was a former member of the South River Borough Council and the South River Board of Education. His wife, Cecelia Elaine Wyluda, died in 2000, and a son, Jeffrey Wyluda, died in 1962. Surviving are two sons, Larry of Corona Del Mar, Calif., and Ed of South River; a daughter, Jennifer Rhatigan of South River; a brother, Regis Wyluda of South River; and eight grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Myrna Demby Goldfinger

Mrs. Goldfinger of Monroe died July 7 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. A retired schoolteacher, she taught in Spotswood and East Brunswick schools. Her husband, Max Goldfinger, died in 1992. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Paul Goldfinger of Ocean Grove and Dr. Melvyn Goldfinger of Dayton, Ohio; and two grandsons. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Congregation Anshe Emeth Cemetery, East Brunswick.Pauline E. Franklin-Stout

Mrs. Franklin-Stout, 85, of South Brunswick, formerly of Milltown, East Brunswick and Freehold Township, died July 8 in Park Place Center, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. She was a school aide at Freehold Township High School before her retirement. Prior to that, she was employed at Jamesway, Freehold Township, and Idea’s Shoppe, South River. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward A. Franklin Sr., in 1967; her second husband, James A. Stout, in 1985; a twin sister, Pearl Cathcart; and a son, Ronald W. Franklin. Surviving are two sons, Dennis E. Franklin of Winter Springs, Fla., and Edward A. Franklin Jr. of Milltown; a daughter-in-law, Linda Franklin of Helmetta; a sister, Goldie Andrews of California; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.

Guinevere A. Canastra Lombardo

Mrs. Lombardo, 61, of North Brunswick died July 12 in St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. She was an adminis­trative assistant at Boy Scouts of America National Headquarters, North Brunswick. Surviving are two sons, Kevin Lombardo of Chicago and Keith Lombardo of Morristown; her father, Carmen Canastra of North Brunswick; two brothers, Donald J. Canastra of Milltown and Wayne J. Canastra of South Orange; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Mary of Mount Virgin Church, New Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to St. Barnabas Development Fund, 95 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039.

Flora Marie Ducharme Wycislak

Mrs. Wycislak, 84, formerly of East Brunswick and South River, died July 10 in JFK Hartwyck Edison Estates. Prior to her retirement in 1985, she was employed as a seamstress with Marian Dress Co., South River. Prior to that, she worked at Two Guys department store, East Brunswick. She was predeceased by two daughters, Flora M. Bachmann and Patricia A. DeVillers-Martin, and by a granddaughter, Janette A. Bachmann. Surviving are four grandsons, Rod DeVillers of Flemington, Scott DeVillers of Bernardsville, Raymond Bachmann of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen and Randy Bachman of South River; a granddaughter, JoAnne Bachmann Edwards of Old Bridge; two sisters, Evangeline Kozaka of Fall River, Mass., and Irene Montpelier of Panama City, Fla.; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Cremation was private.

Genevieve Castaldo Sicola

Mrs. Sicola, 82, of Brick, formerly of East Brunswick, died July 9 in Ocean Medical Center, Brick. She was predeceased in 2000 by her husband, Joseph Sicola, and in 1998 by a son, Joseph F. Sicola Jr. Surviving are two daughters, Ann Marie O’Connor and Lena Bruno, both of Brick; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Mrs. Pawelek, 88, died July 10 in McCarrick Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. Prior to her retirement, she was a seamstress for many years with J.P. Reiser Dress Co., South River. Her hus­band, Stanley, died in 1987, and a son-in-law, Howard Petersen, died in 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Marian Petersen of South River; a son, Stanley of Tacoma, Wash.; a sister, Dorothy Ancona of East Brunswick; a brother, Edward Prysak of the Morgan section of Sayreville; three granddaughters; and six great-grandchil­dren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

Joseph Jacklets

Mr. Jacklets, 77, of the Fords section of Woodbridge died July 8 at home. Surviving are his wife, Joan Grogan Jacklets; two sons, Jay Jacklets of Fords and John of Edison; a daughter, Joan Miller of East Brunswick; and seven grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Frank DeVita

Mr. DeVita, 82, of Old Bridge died July 8 at home. His wife, Carmella, died in 1993. Surviving are a son, Tommy DeVita of Fort Lee; a daughter, Maria Cirigliano of Old Bridge; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Flower Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, North Bergen. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Middlesex Chapter, 846 Main St., Fords, NJ 08863.

Eugene G. Pfarr

Mr. Pfarr, 78, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, formerly of the Avenel section of Woodbridge, died July 12 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are his wife, Alice Yackulich Pfarr; a daughter, Lynn Lotz of Middletown; a son, Brian Pfarr of the Parlin section of Sayreville; two grand­children; and one great-grandchild. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
