Obituaries Mrs. Marcinczyk, 56, of Sayreville died May 17 in Raritan Bay Medical center, Old Bridge division. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Marcinczyk. Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Marcinczyk of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge; two brothers, Robert Brewer of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Wayne Brewer of Sayreville; and a sister, Donna Pelham of Monroe. Visitation is planned for 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on May 20 at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on May 21 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. James E. Segal Mr. Segal, 87, of North Brunswick died May 16 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a veterans service officer for North Brunswick and a founding member of the North Brunswick Historical Society. Surviving are his wife, Mary Fricker Segal; two daughters, Helene Sulter and Margaret Livingston, both of Columbus; a son, James Segal of Mount Laurel; and five grandchildren. A funeral service is planned for 8:30 p.m. on May 20 at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Cecilia Konieczko Bachley Mrs. Bachley, 89, of North Brunswick died May 8 at home. Born in Bayonne, she resided there prior to moving to North Brunswick one year ago. She was a coil winder at Western Electric Co., Kearny, for 20 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the North Brunswick Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Bachley. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Tom Lynch of East Brunswick; a grandson; and one great-granddaughter. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Louis F. Camamis Mr. Camamis, 80, of North Brunswick died May 14 at home. He was a supervisor at Carter Wallace Inc., Cranbury, for 35 years, retiring in 1985. Surviving are his wife, Theodora Kalatzis Camamis; a son, Peter Camamis of North Brunswick; three daughters, Elizabeth Benson of Metuchen, Emily Verdi of East Brunswick and Melanie Herbert of Marlboro; two brothers, Paris Camamis of Clearwater, Fla., and Dr. Constantine Cummings of Wayne, Pa.; and six grandchildren. A funeral service was held at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, Piscataway. Interment was in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Kathleen A. Kinnell Markie Mrs. Markie, 68, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen died May 12 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was a sales clerk at Meyer’s, East Brunswick, for 20 years. Surviving are her husband, Alexander Markie; two daughters, Helen Markie of the Keasbey section of Woodbridge and Michelle Pierce of Cliffwood Beach; a son, Terry Markie of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Helen Massaro of South Plainfield and Susan Armbruster of the Toms River section of Dover; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. Leona T. Gyumolcs Mrs. Gyumolcs, 69, of Milltown died May 11 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 2002, she was a secretary for 29 years in the housing division of Cook College, Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Her husband, Theodore Gyumolcs, died in 1990. Surviving are a son, Gregory P. Gyumolcs of Brick; a daughter, Suzanne Bossert of Burlington; and a grandson. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. William Thomas Mr. Thomas, 91, of South River died May 14 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement eight years ago, he was the owner and operator of Polyclad Products, South River, for 35 years. He was predeceased by a son, Paul Robert Thomas. Surviving are a son, William of Millstone; a daughter, Patricia Shea of Cranbury; a brother, Paul Dwaresky of South River; five grandchildren; and a niece. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment was in Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Cemetery, South River. Gregory Artishenko Mr. Artishenko, 76, of South River, formerly of East Brunswick, died May 10 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he was the co-owner of Schacks Tavern, South River, for 25 years. Before that, he worked for 20 years at Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Sonia Kaminkov Artishenko; three daughters, Vera Biernacki, Nadya Cupryk and Larysa Ligas, all of South River; and two grandchildren. Services were held at St. Euphrosynia Belarussian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery. Isabelle Haviland Barrett Mrs. Barrett, 69, of Old Bridge died May 9 at her daughter’s home in Middletown. Her husband, David J. Barrett, died in 1985. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ann Hilsky and Maureen Fecci, both of Middletown, and Jean Marie Ruggiero of Old Bridge; a son, David E. Barrett of Staten Island, N.Y.; two brothers, John Haviland of North Bergen and George Haviland of the Leonardo section of Middletown; and seven grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Staten Island. Justin Thomas Wong Justin Thomas Wong, 8 days old, died May 4 following heart surgery at Penn State Children’s Hospital, Hershey, Pa. He was born in Hershey, Pa. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Herbert Wong in 1999. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Sharon Stankovits Wong; a twin brother, Ethan Joseph Wong; his maternal grandparents, Doreen and Stephen Stankovits of North Brunswick; his paternal grandmother, Marianne Wong of North Brunswick; his maternal great-grandparents, Beryl and Chester Daszkiewicz of Monroe; his paternal great-grandmother, Ann Fong of New York City; and several aunts and uncles. A memorial service was held at Somerset Presbyterian Church, Somerset. Arrangements were by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Mary Ann Wysocki Rutkowski Mrs. Rutkowski, 94, of the Forked River section of Lacey, formerly of South River, died May 11 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1972, she was a packer at Johnson and Johnson Personal Products Division, Milltown, where she worked for more than 30 years. Her husband, John J. Rutkowski, died in 1998. Surviving are a brother, Anthony Wysocki of Milltown; several nieces and nephews, including Blanche Sokoloski of Forked River, with whom she lived; and many nieces and nephews, including Gail Allen and Carol Causey. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 100, Dept. 300, Memphis, TN 38148-0552. Alice Jean Quava Mrs. Quava, 61, of Easton, Pa., and Laporte, Pa., died May 10 in Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, Pa. Surviving are her husband, Ray; two daughters, Kelley Tallia of Doylestown and Kim Albrecht of Old Bridge; her mother, Ann Cegielski of South River; two sisters, Faith William of the Forked River section of Lacey and Marie Vavra of South River; and six grandchildren. Services were held at Sacred Heart Church, Laporte. Interment was in the church cemetery. Margaret G. Tomasulo Gardella Mrs. Gardella, 87, of East Brunswick died May 12 in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, Frank C. Gardella, died in 1986. Surviving are a daughter, Catherine Erkman of Easton, Pa.; a son, Frank Gardella of East Brunswick; a sister, Joan Ricci of Monroe; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
