Martin Calabro

Mr. Calabro, 77, of South River died April 27 at home. Surviving are his wife, Rachel Ferri Calabro; a brother-in-law, Victor Munger; two sisters-in-law, Helen Ferri and Mary Ann Ferri Pisa; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Anna Dixon

Mrs. Dixon, 87, of Jamesburg, formerly of Cutchogue, N.Y., died April 30 at home. Her husband, James Myron Dixon, died in 1972. Surviving are a son, James "Tom" Dixon of Holmes, N.Y.; a daughter, Myra Gordon of Holland, Pa.; two sisters, Helen Simchick of Cutchogue and Bertha Bokina of Florida; a brother, Henry Rutkoski of Mattituck, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Ostrabrama Church, Cutchogue. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, also Cutchogue.

Helen A. Doerr

Mrs. Doerr, 92, of Milltown died May 1 at home. She was a Democratic Committeewoman for more than 40 years and worked as a clerk for the borough of Milltown for many years. Her husband, Francis X. Doerr Jr., died in 1969, and a son, Francis X. Doerr III, died in 2000. Surviving are a son, James H. Doerr of New York City, and a brother, John P. Bradshaw. A liturgy was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Altar Rosary Society, 233 N. Main St., Milltown, NJ 08850.

Anna Zavlacky Marsicano

Mrs. Marsicano, 95, of Lakewood, formerly of Metuchen and East Brunswick, died April 26 in St. Joseph’s Home, Woodbridge. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Marsicano Sr., and by a son-in-law, Louis Toto. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Jon Marsicano of North Brunswick and Peter Marsicano Jr. of East Brunswick; four daughters, Delores Wright of Short Hills, Margaret Lencki of Bayville, and Marlene Marsicano and Jeanne Bernadette Toto, both of the New Egypt section of Plumsted; three sisters, Eleanor Ur of Metuchen, and Margaret DeAngelo and Irene Zavlacky, both of Perth Amboy; 24 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Peace Church, North Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn. Francis "JR" W. Meade Sr.

Mr. Meade, 82, of South River died May 2 at his son’s home in Ewing. Surviving are his wife, Florence Duschock Meade; two sons, Francis William Meade Jr. of Linden and Gary Alan Meade of Ewing; a brother, Alfred Meade of Monroe; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Aleksandra Juzwick Michalski

Mrs. Michalski, 78, of the Griggstown section of Franklin, formerly of Milltown, died April 27 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was prede­ceased by her husband, Henry Michalski; two sons, Paul and Frederick; and two daughters, Mary and Donna. Surviving are a son, Mark Michalski of Griggstown; a daughter, Karen Spengler of the Lincroft section of Middletown; a sister, Mary Kasprowicz of Monroe; and three grand­children. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia section of Woodbridge.

Irene M. Devlin Murray

Mrs. Murray, 79, of East Brunswick died April 27 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1994, she was manager of the dress department at Mill End Shop, East Brunswick, where she worked for 25 years. Her husband, Daniel, died in 1976. Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Ross of East Brunswick; four sons, Robert Murray of Wall, Richard Murray of Sayreville, Donald Murray of Oradell and Daniel Murray Jr. of Flemington; a brother, Robert Devlin of Southington, Conn.; and nine grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Alex Bosko

Mr. Bosko, 89, of South River died April 26 at home. Prior to his retirement 34 years ago, he was a painter with E.I. DuPont Fabric and Finish Division, Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for more than 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Julia Rusin Bosko; a sister, Mary Zaremba of South River; a niece and a nephew, Helen Wanson and Alex Rusin, both of South River; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.

Kathleen J. McNelis Clarke

Mrs. Clarke, 100, of East Brunswick, formerly of Bayonne, Cranford and Pompano Beach, Fla., died April 27 in Sunrise Assisted Living, East Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1967, she was a self-employed registered nurse for many years. Her husband, John J. Clarke, died in 1990. Surviving are a daughter, Eileen Paradise of East Brunswick; three grand­children; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Pompano Beach. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bartholomew’s Church Altar Rosary Society, 460 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

Anne M.C. Smith LeVay

Mrs. LeVay, 85, formerly of East Brunswick, died April 28 in New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, Edison. Prior to her retirement in 1980, she was a seam­stress for more than 24 years with Wilshire Fashions, South River. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. LeVay, and by a son-in-law, Karl Klostreich. Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth "Betty Anne" Klostreich and Arlene Faulkner, both of Gilbert, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, P.O. Edward Okulski

Mr. Okulski, 87, of Sayreville, formerly of East Brunswick, died May 1 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1980, he was a stationary engineer with Jersey Central Power and Light Co., Sayreville, where he worked for 27 years. Surviving are his wife, Irene Lis Okulski; a daughter, Karen Straczynski of Sayreville; a son, Gerry Okulski, also of Sayreville; a brother, Benjamin Okulski of Long Beach Island; a sister, Stella Piechota of Manville; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was of­fered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Charles A. Stoffel

Mr. Stoffel, 93, of East Brunswick died May 1 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1988, he owned and operated Stoffel Embroidery Works, East Brunswick. Surviving are eight nieces and nephews, Lillian June, Selma Parker, Jackie Mako, Norma Lynch, John Gartmann, Elizabeth Miller, Mary Ann Angell and William Mongon. Services were held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Lewis J. Zimmerman

Mr. Zimmerman, 80, of East Brunswick died April 30 in Care One, East Brunswick. His first wife, Elizabeth "Betty" A. Zimmerman, died in 1992. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Anne Zimmerman; three sons, Michael of East Brunswick, John of Arkansas and Paul of Colorado; three daughters, Linda Muffoletto of Rhode Island, Mary Zimmerman of East Brunswick and Karen Farr of Metuchen; a brother, Donald Zimmerman, and a sister, Norma Bishop, both of Buffalo, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Blanche M. Dunn Gosner Carroll

Mrs. Carroll, 82, of North Brunswick died April 21 in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Prior to her retirement, she was a waitress at Bill and Betty’s Tavern, Milltown. She was predeceased by her first husband, John C. Gosner in 1968; a daughter, Jeanne M. Adams-Gugel in 1994; and a grandson, Charles Gosner in 1996. Surviving are her husband, Paul T. Carroll; three sons, John Gosner and Charles Gosner, both of North Brunswick, and Alfred Gosner of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Winifred Brodin of South River and Blanche Charlton of North Brunswick; a stepson; five stepdaughters; 34 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, North Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Janet R. Gargan Harris

Mrs. Harris, 82, of Milltown, formerly of North Brunswick, died May 7 at home. She was a real estate agent and appraiser with Prudential New Jersey Properties, East Brunswick. Surviving are several cousins and friends. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Dorothy Alexander Hetman

Mrs. Hetman, 75, of South River died May 9 at home. Surviving are her husband, Henry Hetman; five daughters, Rose Guchensky of Flemington, Linda Franklin of Helmetta, Judi Schaad of the Somerset section of Franklin, Pat Bragar of Union and Janet Hetman of South River; a son, Henry of North Brunswick; four sisters, Mary Szostak and Nancy Muzyka, both of South River, Shirley Feggulis of Spotswood and Gloria Varella of New Brunswick; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Cremation was private. Anne J. Nardiello Crivello

Mrs. Crivello of East Brunswick died May 7 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was an ac­countant with several area businesses and services, including Miller and Chudzick Attorneys at Law, East Brunswick, where she worked for 10 years before retiring in 1997. Her husband, Frank N., died in 1993. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Anne Gregorowicz of Marlboro; three sons, Frank of St. James, N.Y., Robert of South Brunswick and Kenneth of Sparta; two brothers, James Nardiello of Staten Island, N.Y., and Jerry Nardiello of Ohio; two sis­ters, Josephine Shiavone of Monroe and Mary Jaccarino of Staten Island; and eight grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was of­fered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Frank J. Roche

Mr. Roche, 77, of Milltown died May 8 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Christina Roche, died in 1999, and a son, Michael, died in 1985. Surviving are two sons, Mitchell of South Carolina and Frank of Milltown; a daughter, Monica Carr of Milltown; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. Ramakrishna Sattiraju

Mr. Sattiraju, 63, of East Brunswick died May 10. He was employed as an elec­trical engineer with the U.S. Department of Defense at Fort Monmouth. Surviving are his wife, Swarnalata Sattiraju; a son, Ravi Sattiraju of New Milford; a daughter, Usha Vig of Cherry Hill; and a granddaughter. Services were held at Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery, North Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of India Funeral Service, Raritan.

Marlene L. McMeekin Calderone

Mrs. Calderone of Monroe died May 2 at home. Surviving are two sons, Dominic and Andrew Calderone; two daughters, Catherine Rodriguez and Rosemary Dauwalter; a sister, Dolores Salzig; a brother, Andrew McMeekin; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village, N.Y.

William A. Geraczynski

Mr. Geraczynski, 82, of Old Bridge died May 5 at home. Surviving are his wife, Leonilda Ciocca Geraczynski; two sons, Michael of Jamesburg and William Jr. of Lyndhurst; a daughter, Barbara Elson of Fort Lee; a sister, Ann Mosely of the Toms River section of Dover; and three grand­children. Arrangements were under the di­rection of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.

Bertha Kobesto

Mrs. Kobesto, 79, of Spotswood, formerly of Sayreville, died May 5 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Decorative Metals, Milltown, and worked as a health aide with the Visiting Nurse Association, North Brunswick. Her hus­band, Andrew Kobesto, died in 1962. Surviving are two sons, George and Andrew Kobesto of Monroe; a daughter, Janet Hascup of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchil­dren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

William J. Rappleyea

Mr. Rappleyea, 50, of Sayreville died May 7 in Care One, East Brunswick. He was the owner and operator of Circle 5 Enterprises, Sayreville, for 27 years, and he worked for the Middlesex County Utility Authority for the past three years. He was predeceased by his parents, Anne and William Rappleyea. Surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville.
