     On Dec. 16, the Mustangs of Applegarth Middles School in Monroe hosted John Adams Middle School of Edison and came away with a hard-fought 47-37 victory.

     Monroe 10-year-old travel basketball team remained undefeated with an impressive 50-17 victory over a tough Jackson team. Monroe’s high-powered offense was led by Alex Vizcaino, Matt Gorham and Mike Mahmoud, who combined for 36 points.
