Obituaries Mrs. Frech, 89, of North Brunswick died Nov. 30 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Anton Frech; three daughters, Katharina Haspel of Sayreville, Margaret Frech of North Brunswick and Elvira Schlamp of Germany; a son, Erwin Frech of East Brunswick; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Dec. 4 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A funeral service will be held Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. John L. Redner Mr. Redner, 58, of Freehold died Nov. 27 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Newark, he had lived in Lyndhurst, Novato, Calif., and Manalapan before moving to Freehold last month. Surviving are his wife, Mary Jean; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Stefano Cipolletta of Monroe and Meredith and John Herold Jr. of Jamesburg; his parents, Lena and Lawrence Redner of Lyndhurst; three brothers, William Redner of Stamford, Conn., Lawrence Redner of San Diego and Thomas Redner of Nutley; a sister, Mary Lou Thumm of Brick; and a grandson. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Thomas More Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Lambiase Smith Mrs. Smith, 65, of the Whiting section of Manchester, formerly of North Brunswick, died Nov. 28 in Community Medical Center, Toms River section of Dover. Surviving are her husband, Donald L. Smith; two daughters, Lisa Hobschaidt of North Brunswick and Karen Andino of East Brunswick; two brothers, Nicholas Lambiase of East Windsor and Anthony Lambiase of Edison; two grandchildren; and one stepdaughter. Arrangements were under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Barney Davis Mr. Davis, 93, of Howell died Nov. 23 in Bartley Health Care Nursing and Rehabilitation, Jackson. Surviving are his wife, Hannah Slobodow Davis; a son, Alan Davis of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Susan Berger of East Brunswick; a sister, Irene Chester of Florida; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Christine Dennis Mrs. Dennis, 56, of East Brunswick died Nov. 27 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. A son, Jefferson, died in 1999. Surviving are her husband, Ross; two sons, Jordan and Jesse, both of East Brunswick; and a brother, Kenneth Mack of the Brick Town section of Brick. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Donald Robert Dewees Mr. Dewees, 76, of Spotswood died Nov. 27 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He retired in 1996 after 33 years with the East Brunswick Board of Education. His wife, Frances, died in 1987. Surviving are a son, Gary D. Dewees of Monroe; two brothers, William and John; two sisters, Eleanor and Joan; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Eckman Funeral Home, Spotswood. Emilia Kosa Erdman Mrs. Erdman, 87, of South River died Nov. 28 in Raritan Extended Care Center. She was a retired music teacher. She was predeceased by two husbands, Raymond Fritz and Helmuth Erdman. Surviving are a son, Raymond Fritz Jr. of Manville; a sister, Julia Kovac of South River; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Louis J. Toto Sr. Mr. Toto, 73, of the Columbus section of Mansfield, formerly of East Brunswick, died Nov. 27 in St. Agnes Medical Center, Philadelphia. He was one of the founding members of Toto Brothers Inc., East Brunswick. A son, Christopher, died in 1991. Surviving are his wife, J. Bernadette Marsicano Toto; two sons, Louis J. Toto Jr. of Millstone and James Toto of the New Egypt section of Plumsted; a daughter, Loretta VanMiddlesworth of Lake Worth, Fla.; a brother, Antonio Toto of East Brunswick; a sister, Mafalda Nervegna of Astoria, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren. Prior to her retirement in 1971, she was employed as office supervisor at the National Boy Scouts of America, North Brunswick, where she worked for 17 years. Her husband, Edward A. Fritz, died in 1987. Surviving are two sons, Walter J. Weber of Ann Arbor, Mich., and LeRoy C. Weber of Ewing; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Josephine Frances "Micki" Febinger Mrs. Febinger, 79, of Helmetta, formerly of East Brunswick, died Nov. 28 at home. Surviving are three sons, Edward J. Febinger, with whom she lived, Gilbert L. Febinger of East Brunswick and Keith Febinger of Middlesex; two daughters, Jody Gamble of North Brunswick and Wilda Bleakley of Ewing; a sister, Elizabeth VanLiew of Goose Creek, S.C.; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and Edward G. Inc., East Brunswick. Surviving are a brother, Zygmund Rodzajewski of Scotch Plains; two nephews, Scott and Todd Rodzajewski; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Ludmila Kalinowski Machniuk Mrs. Machniuk, 71, of Jamesburg, formerly of South River and Monroe, died Nov. 25 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are her husband, Oleg Machniuk; two daughters, Nonna Azarko of the Somerset section of Franklin and Alicia DiCosmo of the Colonia section of Woodbridge; a sister, Leonila Tatum of Cape Coral, Fla.; a brother, Oleg Kalinowski, also of Cape Coral; and two grandsons. A service was held at St. Euphrosynia Belarus Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery. Lea Kahan Mrs. Kahan, 97, of East Brunswick died Nov. 25 in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, Michael, died in 1988. Surviving are a son, Simon of Paramus; a daughter, Renee Trachtenberg of East Brunswick; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan. Interment was in Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus. John "Jack" Sekula Mr. Sekula, 83, of Sayreville died Nov. 26 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1976, he was employed by E.I. DuPont Fabric and Finish Division, Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for 47 years. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Karwacky Sekula; a daughter, Debra Sekula of Sayreville; and a nephew, Dr. Chester T. Karr of East Brunswick. Petrizzo Mr. Petrizzo, 83, of East Brunswick died Nov. 28 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Marie Carollo Petrizzo; a son, Anthony of East Brunswick; a daughter, Marie Rataczjak of Jamesburg; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
