MARY BIALAS CALLAWAY, 88, formerly of Milltown, died March 5 at the home of her daughter in North Carolina. She was predeceased by her husband, George Callaway Sr., and by a grandson and a granddaughter. Surviving are a son, George Callaway Jr. of East Brunswick; a daughter, Maryann Kotter of St. Pauls, N.C.; two brothers, Joseph Bailes and Anthony Bailes, both of East Brunswick; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services and interment of cremains were held at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.

ISABEL DIAZ, 80, of Milltown died May 14 at home. Surviving are her husband, Juan Diaz; two daughters, Aida Diaz and Jennie Diaz, both of Milltown; two brothers, Joe DeJesus of Arizona and Paco DeJesus of Florida; two sisters, Magda of Kentucky and Theresa of Florida; and seven grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, New Brunswick.

MARY J. TATTI GULUTZ, 86, of East Brunswick died May 15 in Care One, East Brunswick. Her husband, Harry, died in 1991. Surviving are a son, Harry Gulutz of East Brunswick; a daughter, Jo-Ann Zajack, also of East Brunswick; a brother, Salvatore Tatti of Bayside, N.Y.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

MARY SLIWKA KADY, 77, of Milltown died May 12 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Joseph Kady Jr., died in 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Lois French of Rick Hill, S.C.; two sons, Joseph Kady III of Washington Township and Peter Kady of the Somerset section of Franklin; six brothers, Peter, Paul, John, Michael, William and Stephen Sliwka; a sister, Helen Komar; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Interment was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902, or to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords, NJ 08863.

JOSEFA SCHILLINGER PALINKAS, 74, of Monroe died May 16 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank. Surviving are two sons, John and Frank Palinkas; two daughters, Lorraine Wojcik and Margaret Miller; many relatives in Germany; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Nativity of Our Lord Church, Monroe. Memorial contri­butions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords, NJ 08863.

PETER J. TOMORI, 81, of East Brunswick died May 12 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Catherine Nigro Tomori, died in 1995. Surviving are three sons, John A. Tomori of Metuchen and Pasquale F. Tomori and Gregory P. Tomori, both of East Brunswick; a daughter, Michele Mary Cecchine of Flemington; five sisters, Mary Karonowsky of Florida, Eleanor Lis of South River, Rose Raub of Pennsylvania and Helen Mazurowski and Margo Chikas, both of Monroe; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, New Brunswick. Interment was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.

CARMEN J. ZANGARA, 73, of Milltown died May 13 at home. Surviving are his wife, Connie Caruso Zangara; two daughters, Donna Torres of the New Egypt section of Plumsted and Cindy Napolitano of Little Egg Harbor; a sister, Rose Caggiano of Riverton; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

KATHERINE PHOLE DePRE, 85, of the Madison Park section of Old Bridge died May 15 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1982, she was employed as an office man­ager at Channel Lumber, Old Bridge, where she worked for 15 years. Her husband, Joseph P. DePre, died in 2002. Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Petrick of South Amboy and Patricia Lovrich of Monroe; a son, Keith DePre of Wind Gap, Pa.; a sister, Marion Luma of Sayreville; a brother, Henry Phole of Wildwood; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin. Entombment was in Forest Green Park Mausoleum, Old Bridge.

MARGARET "PEGGY" FUDGE, 73, of Sayreville died May 12 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are her husband, Patrick A. Fudge; two daugh­ters, Nancy Roberts of Hazleton, Pa., and Patti Fudge of Sayreville; her father, Anthony Simasek of McAdoo, Pa.; a brother, Ronald Simasek, and two sisters, Dorothy Rubasky and Jean Kohler, all of McAdoo; a grand­daughter, Jennifer Paluzzi of Jamesburg; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was of­fered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in St. Mary’s Slovak Cemetery, McAdoo.

JOSEPH J. BROSS JR., 48, of Old Bridge died May 13 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed as a meat cutter at Stop and Shop, Keyport. Surviving are his wife, JoAnna Vaniski Bross; two sisters, Patricia Nieratko of Sayreville and Ellen Novak-Viviano of Spotswood; a brother, John Bross of West Milford; a niece, Theresa Novak of Spotswood; and a great-niece. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in Rahway Cemetery.

GRACE CAPICI JASTREBSKI, 72, of East Brunswick, formerly of Sayreville, died May 18 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retire­ment in 1992, she was employed by the East Brunswick Board of Education as a cafeteria worker. Surviving are her husband, Stanley; a son, John of East Brunswick; two daughters, Susan Clay of Sayreville and Cyndi Semchenko of Millington, Md.; three sisters, Anita Ingram of Easton, Pa., Mildred Wink of Raritan and Rose Josephsen of Columbia, Mo.; a brother, Anthony Capici of Raritan; and eight grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

PATRICIA "TRISH" McINERNEY, 33, of Old Bridge died May 17 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. A gradu­ate of the nursing program at Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools, East Brunswick, she was a licensed practical nurse at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy and Old Bridge divisions, for the past two years. Prior to that, she worked for five years at Pine Brook Care Center, Manalapan. Surviving are two daughters, Brittney and Krystal; her mother, Patricia H. McInerney of Old Bridge; her father, James McInerney of South Amboy; three brothers, James McInerney Jr. of Glendale, Ariz., and Daniel and Joseph McInerney, both of Old Bridge; a sister, Kathleen Christian of the Somerset section of Franklin; her paternal grandmother, Emily McInerney of Somerset; and a niece and three nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the benefit of the de­ceased’s daughters.

MICHAEL J. PALMOWSKI, 85, of South River died May 17 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1979, he was employed as a pipe fitter with Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for 40 years. His wife, Victoria Gryzbek Palmowski, died in 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Christine Molnar of South River; a sister, Viola Palmowski of South River; and two grand­daughters, Marie and Stephanie Molnar, also of South River. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
