POW-MIA committee plans June 6 Poker Run Spotswood Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4589 POW-MIA (Prisoner of War-Missing in Action) Awareness Committee will hold its annual Poker Run motorbike event on June 6 beginning at the post home, 33 Daniel Road. Interested individuals may sign up from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Antique cars are welcome. Destination will be the Hightstown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Dutch Neck Road. A picnic at the Hightstown VFW will feature live music by the Roadies, games, a bike contest, a tattoo contest, arm wresting, cash prizes and more. One-half of the day’s proceeds will go to Operation Up Link, which provides free phone cards for American troops overseas. Donation is $20 per person. The public is welcome.
